Whisky Tango Foxtrot! So I bagged the idea of tenting and rented a cargo van for my virgin trek to the desert.

burner here in Ojai who lent me all sorts of stuff: sleeping bags, bowls, mugs for Camp Anonymous where I'm staying, bike lock and the like. I've whittled down the to-buy list. I found myself staying in the shower even longer for the past couple of days. After all, I do some of my best thinking when I'm showering. Looks like I'll be brain dead on LaPlaya, at least until the Tab kicks in (that's Tab as in beverage; yes, I belong to the Tab cult). I've learned that talk is cheap, and when there's a gap between the talk and the behavior, that's where the lie is.
