A rather old poem and etching of mine

"Masquerading Disinterest" circa 1998?

Sad to lose
Sad to gain
Pick a flower
It's my refrain
You were dead in my hand
I was dead in your hand
Never knowing how silently it sleeps
Never sowing what it reaps
Never showing dreams, it sleeps
In days of new, one seed I keep
I tread withered petals in snow
But I can't choose it's date to sow.

this is really beautiful (as is the poem)

what's the medium you did the etching with? reminds me of an old acquaintance;s artwork, which i think she did with oil paints and wax (but it's been 30 years, i can't remember now how she explained it).

I believe it was an oil based intaglio printing ink and regular printing paper that was dampened.

Hi
The print shown here is an etching from a zinc plate.
