Words, words, words

APRIL is the cruellest month, breeding
Lilacs out of the dead land, mixing
Memory and desire, stirring
Dull roots with spring rain.

These are my thoughts which are mine

With regards to Act III, I was pretty disappointed. I found the shift in tone sudden, and quite jarring. The first two acts had established a Tick-like setting without serious consequences, where Dr. Horrible can have his enemies waiting for him, his new invention fail, and come away with nothing worse than a black eye and jokes about Captain Hammer throwing large objects at his head. The Democrats in Congress today defeated all three amendments to the FISA authorization bill, efficiently cutoff any chance of a filibuster, and passed the exact same bill that the House did last month.

This MSNBC clip is from last night, but summarizes nicely the issues involved: www.youtube.com/watch

Congratulations to our Democratic-held Congress, who have proven to be *worse* than the Republican-held Congress that failed, when Bill Frist and Dennis Hastert were... read more

Mr. President, unwarranted domestic spying didn’t happen in a panic or short-term emergency, not for a week, or a month, or even a year. If it had, I might not be here today.

But that isn’t the case. What we now know is that spying by this Administration went on, relentlessly, for more than five years.

I might not be here if it had been the first offense of a new administration. Maybe not if it had even been the second or the third.

But that isn’t the case either, Mr. President. In... read more

"Religion convinced the world that there's an invisible man in the sky who watches everything you do. And there's 10 things he doesn't want you to do or else you'll to to a burning place with a lake of fire until the end of eternity. But he loves you! ...And he needs money! He's all powerful, but he can't handle money! [...]

I've begun worshipping the sun for a number of reasons. First of all, unlike some other gods I could mention, I can see the sun. It's there for me every day. And the ... read more
