Italia is calling me. I will take what I learned from my last trip and make this one even better. I feel hesitant to go where I have already been, but Italia has been the apple of my eye since I was old enough to understand that I was born there.

We will save our England, Wales, Ireland trip for Cameron's graduation year and take the kids with us on that one.

The itinerary this time? Rome-->Siena-->Undetermined Hill Towns-->Cinque Terra-->Venice.

Any suggestions for the Undetermined Hill Towns?? Thinking Orvieto and San Gia.

hiking thru the woods to a beautiful view
finding your way to the meadow pools naked under just a wrap via flashlight or headlamp ~ giggling because your companion is wearing a big bird yellow houserobe and she just happens to be really tall.
mmmmm....food I didn't have to cook and dishes I don't have to wash
staying in my pj's while I eat breakfast and drink coffee at the dining hall
hiding a fake spider in my bunkmates' bed...giggling as quietly as I can, only to have a less than dramatic reaction.

the drums & paulettes voice navigating us in the meditation walk
the BIG dance circle on salon night
sitting in the open area in front of the lodge when the sun has come out to play
walking by myself slowly to or from the cabins and coming across a deer or just soaking in the sounds and trees
seeing performance collaborations between troupes ~ it's like when the Facts of Life characters were on Different Strokes, totally cool
Sticking our hot, sweaty feet in the cold river after a hike and feeling the smooth river rock.
escaping for a burger at the cafe at the bottom of the mountain and finding a lot of other like minded gals
did I mention lots of dancing? :o)

Where will Johnny go?

I took him down yesterday. He was on the back of my office door at work, so that when I shut my door to escape the yahoos in the office I could gaze at this fine man. He can't go to my new office, he just wouldn't fit in with the pictures of people from Africa and India. Where will he go? Anyone have a spectacular spot for him? Anyone want to start a sisterhood of traveling Johnny at the piano lookin mighty scrumptous?

I'm robbing my karma

Walking through REI ~ Thought process: Look! There's a training board. My luv was so bummed when we bought our house and the previous owner took their training board with them (guess they don't consider them curtains). I'll surprise him and drop down $80. Feeling good. Feeling unselfish.

Checking my email at home ~ Thought process: Sqweeeeee! There's a paypal invoice for the melos I wanted! point three seconds later the transaction is completed and I just dropped down $79. Feeling like my good karma was just squandered away mere hours from attaining it.

Today, my middle name is lewd and inappropriate.

I am baffled and surprised at discovering that, ahem...uh, well gray hair is not confined to your head.

It makes sense, right?

But it's still a bit jarring to find on oneself.

I should know by Friday whether or not I get the job. If I dont, I will cry. Like a baby. At the interview, I was hoping to see or hear something that would make it okay by me if I don't get it. No such luck. Everything I heard and saw made me want it more. An amazing group of people doing amazing things.

Nervous Nellie Tells All...well...just a snipet.

I had a phone interview yesterday. They asked me to come in next week for another interview in person ~ I will be dusting off my Ann Taylor suit that I haven't worn in five years.

I already have a great job.

This one, however, is very important to me. If I get it, You all will be getting an earful.

I'm giddy and light-headed.

I mailed off my passport renewal yesterday.
I'm about to be free to move about the countries.
