Jill is special.
Not like, short bus special, oh no...more like "Hey look I found a ruby the size of my fist on the beach right here!" special. She glitters and gleams with intelligence, wisdom, wit and a relish for gross stories that makes me smile from the inside out; even at the seams kind of smiling. I'm glad to call her friend and can't wait to spend more time saying things like "OMG! I totally was thinking that!" November 8, 2006

I made this for the doctor I work with. He is Jewish and his wife-to-be is not. I thought he might like to have this to represent his faith in the midst of all her holiday decor. I wrote this post as a friend inspired me to share my hand-made item, something I found to be fun and entertaining. I have been wanting to write an entry for quite some time. Let you all know what is going on in my life. But each time I go to actually do so a discouraging thought pops into my head. Why? Why should I spend the time agonizing over the right things to say or how to say them. Did I spell everything correctly? Are my sentences grammaticaly correct? When it boils down to the fact that I don't think anyone would notice as I do not believe anyone would even read it.

"Sorry you have the wrong number, nobody lives here by that name." Usually the person on the other end will apoligize for disturbing you and hang up. Sometimes they call back again in a few minutes and repeat the error, and things proceed pretty much the same usually with a number check this time. "Is this 555-5555?" I miss waking up to the chatter of ducks and chickens. I miss the sound of hopeful goats bleeting at me when they hear the back door open.
