longing (blog entry) i can feel how close we used to be
i have no name for it
I remember a place where we were the same
i don't know what to call it
I recall a tune we used to sing
the melody my heart begs me to resonate
I have a taste for a meal we used to eat

A Tellers Tale

i can feel how close we used to be
i have no name for it
I remember a place where we were the same
i don't know what to call it
I recall a tune we used to sing
the melody my heart begs me to resonate
I have a taste for a meal we used to eat
the ingredients aren't on the shelves

the one thing I know for sure
is that i will meet you again
in our home
singing our songs
and sharing our magical food
together

I really feel like going back to New Orleans. A lot of people I knew there are gone, back to the real world. I haven't really found
a worthwhile eneavor here. I bought a new car, been working in my craft. After I get my mom out of the money hole I think I will return to nola for a month or so then head to mexico. I have to get my passport before before new years.
I have gone out here and met some half interesting people, but I really don't see the luster in working for material gain rather than working on my ideals.
I got the opening notes laid out on my rendition of a yaqui way of knowledge. I have rough sketches for three scenes. I have an idea to do some of the story choreogaphed for modern dance. I can see the piece on the stage or on film...but without using cgi I think film would be tough.
Alpha Dogs hit a lull, my interest in it waned after writting twenty or so pages in long hand. I hate typing from long hand, I invariably change an critize. I become my own worst critic and decide my story is better left untold. I need to become unattatched, let what moves through me make its way into the world without my owning it per se.

I got bored writting my stories on the computer. I changed the format to use a black background and white text, (then i took a blank page to the bar and cafe and used long hand). I like the visual contrast. I think I will issue the first printing of "Alpha Dog's" in this format. I am almost finished with it. Does five chapters constitute a novel, or would it be a novella? I think ADD like symptoms, or my as of yet lack of embellishing the story more is gonna deem it finished. I plan on formatting it as a screenplay, and a script for stage in the first printing. I fuond a couple self publishing sites the one I really like is lulu.com. I think I like them cause one of my favorite people ever is lulu, and my great grandmother was named lula(that was only here nickname, but thats who I remeber her as). My friend Daniel is someone i work at the pizza joint with, I work there for entertainment in between stage calls. He has a masters degree in english literature, I guess that explins why he is flippin pizzas. but he is super smart and I trust his ability to edit my story. He said my writting is kinda like faulkner, I've never read any faulkner but my step dad had it on the book shelf i used to puruze when i was a kid. Maybe i got some faulkner style by osmosis. I don't know.
Have a good weekend lonley world....see you later.

I have started roughly plotting an outline for a script based off of Castanadeas first book. Of course I havent written any serious pieces for stage in over ten years so getting the gears working is slow......also I've only written original pieces so working from another source should be interesting.
