People of Faith stand up for Real Moral Values in response to Bush's moral HIPOCRISY

   Fri, February 3, 2006 - 7:32 PM
shortly after hearing bits and pieces of Bush's speech, I sent this to any one I know who considers themselves a 'person of faith' (mostly my family).

Dear friends and family,
I hope you enjoy reading this newsletter. I find it refreshing to witness people of faith standing up for real moral values and exposing how Bush's agenda threatens those things that we stand for.

Last night Bush promised to continue down the path of moral hypocrisy with tax and spending cuts that further enrich the wealthy and impoverish the poor.

Bush also spoke of alternative energy and weaning the US from dependence on foreign oil.
Actions speak louder than words: today the budget that the Congress passed, funded tax cuts for BIG OIL at a rate of 50 to 1, when compared to the funding for alternative energy. Exxon oil just set a new record for profits last year....$36 billion! That's more than the budgets for a large number of countries in this world, and the headlines read, their "Net Is Highest Ever For a US Company."

By the way, if we don't borrow more money from China, the federal government will run out of money for key social programs as of March of this year, according to KPFA.org 's news tonight.

Since we are DOOMED politically, the only thing left to do is PRAY and try to become wealthy. I guess if "the meek shall inherit the earth" that explains why the rich are working so hard to trash it.

Praying for peace and prosperity,

cc
