New Year's Resolutions

Well, it's that time of year again....The bathing suits are already at the Target, and the thought of wearing one terrifies me! So this year, instead of making a long list of Resolutions that I either won't keep, or will only half keep, I have decided to follow only two goals this year: 1) I will fit back into my size 8 jeans, and 2) I will continue to grow my business. If I happen to meet or exceed the first goal, I'll add another; and if I meet or exceed that one, I'll add another. And so on, and so forth.

If anyone else in the Denver area is trying to lose weight, and wouldn't mind using a buddy system to help keep us both on track, drop me a line. Or hell, no matter where you are if you're willing to utilize an e-mail support system, let me know.

So what have I done so far? Today I bought a scale. I know, I know; we shouldn't obsess about our weight, but it's important for me to know where to begin. Actually, it's a really cool scale. It gives body fat measurements, and the like. So I'm starting here, at 157.6 lbs. 27.5% body fat. I honestly could care less about the number; it's how I feel in my own skin (and my own clothes for the matter).

And that's it. So good luck to me, and good luck to everyone else one their journey!

I am looking at a few Resolutions this year too, so I might want to use that buddy system. I need to buy a scale, mine just doesn't work anymore, so that is on the list of things to do this week. I want to lose about 30lbs and work on my overall fitness. My second resolution is to further improve my dancing, by mostly working on my arms and hands and my tribal improv skills. So I have a plan, exercise and dance more, eat better foods, drink more water and eat less overall. I am looking at these as year long goals, so I think I have a pretty good shot. Here's to working towards goals!

Discovery Health National Body Challenge
I joined the Discovery Health National Body Challenge! They give you recipes and an 8 week free memebership to Bally Total Fitness. I figured it might jump start my weightloss. If you're interested, take a look at www.discoveryhealth.com

Good Luck Babe! You can do it - you've got it together like that, lol!

Weight loss is definitely not one of my resolutions this year - well, I do want to keep the weight gain to only what is necessary, however. I gained a ton of weight with the first baby (over 50 pounds...think it was closer to 70, actually). Seeing as I'm starting out a bit 'fluffier' than I was the first go-round, I definitely don't need to gain that much again!

If you want me to pester you constantly though about your progress, I can do that...Always happy to help.... **evil grin**

I would TOTALLY be interested in teaming up...I'm not really looking to lose a particular amount of weight, I just want to feel better, get stronger and have less shimmy in places that aren't my hips when I shimmy!

I also have started doing yoga at CorePower with Joanna from class. They have three free classes a week at their 13th and Grant location and its awesome. Let me know if you ever want to come!
