You know, i wrote this great testimonial for you the other night...but i was kind of
buzzed - too many margaritas...it went something to the tune of - I miss you - and
you're wonderful and I hope you always have everything your heart ever wants and
needs...and I miss seeing you dance. You're my family and I truly hope you're always happy...
you just happen to be one of the most righteous and beautiful human beings I've ever met.
You're beautiful lady - beyond that I don't know what words could even begin to describe who you are and
how much you mean to me. Funny story instead...first time I went out with Marisa some fool
at a club thought he could "dance challenge" her ass, so she does this back flip off a wall right in
his face and I was left thinking "right on, that was amazing." His jaw was on the floor...Then
she decides she's going to try to teach me how to do backflips in Central Park...but that didn't
go quite as well. Maybe one day! Then there was the first time I performed in NYC and Marisa almost
punched out this drunk guy who wouldn't shut up...it was classic. I miss you girl. I miss your
wonderful energy! ~_~

I LOVE HER WORK!!!!!
I had the pleasure of spending some time with Marisa at CoSM after the recent full moon celebration.
This wonderful artist is no stranger to me, as I greatly love and admire her artistry, with dance and fire.
Marisa is a welcome affiliate of The Gossamer Court because of these talents alone.
Her performances with THOTH are other-worldly, so we are using royal prerogative, in excusing Our rather remiss self, for a major oversight. I should have asked this beautiful artist for a peek at her fashion portfolio earlier!
It took me quite awhile to go through a dozen pages because it was important for me to take it all in.
The quality and sophistication of her designs, the blending of fabric and weaving of color is most impressive. The clothing she designs is both striking and stunning. You would expect to see designs like this in a major house or from the top graduate of a fine fashion institute. My friend Marisa, for the most part, is self-taught.
I only wear the designs of two of my friends. Marisa will now make three, as I plan to commission her to create an ensemble for me to wear at more formal occasions. My taste with regard to fashion is not just about the way that clothing wears and looks, but the way it helps me to project and reflect the inner-self in a state of comfort.

Parashakti & Ellen invite you to join us in Corfu, at Alexis Zorbas Center, to celebrate Rumi's 801st birthday. Rumi, a scholar turned mystic, turned dancing dervish, whose poetry takes us step by step to meet God within ourselves is our inspiration for this retreat. Ecstatic dance is the oldest spiritual practice on earth. The practices of Native American Shamanism combine ritual, trance & dance in a communal ceremony that liberates the dancers' inner light.
This group begins with dinner on Sunday, 9/28, and ends with morning class on Saturday, 10/3; check out, 10/4. This is a full immersion retreat and will include a day of cleansing & fasting, an all night ritual, and a day spent in silence with yourself.
500 Euros for shared room with two delicious vegetarian meals daily.
Single housing available for additional payment. Tuition: 600 Euros.
Work/study available for tuition; must pay for own room/board or negotiate a fair trade with leaders.

Ellen Watson is celebrating her 24th year on staff at Esalen Institute, where she studies, practices, and teaches various modalities of moving meditation practice. As a teacher of Esalen® Massage, Essential Touch, Gabrielle Roth’s 5 Rhythms™, Dancing with Rumi, Holotropic Breathwork, Wake Up 101, & Your Body Is Musical Instrument, Ellen offers retreats & intensives at Esalen and other inspiring locations around the globe. A licensed minister, Ellen believes that the core of all healing begins in the realm of the heart, spirit & breath. From 1984- 2003, Ellen developed the Movement Arts Program at Esalen.
Descended from a long line of spiritual healers, Parashakti moved from her native Jerusalem to the United States to pursue her life long exploration of the healing art of Dance and Ritual. Parashakti, had the honor of receiving teachings from Swami Sachidananda, founder of Integral Yoga, while she lived at their ashram in NYC and Virginia. Her yogic lifestyle led her to the study of Native American healing arts with the Shoshone and Lakota Indians. Inspired by the wisdom of her elders and her native roots, she developed a unique form of movement called Dance of Liberation. She has worked with over 10,000 dancers from around the world, leading workshops, trainings & retreats at the world’s leading holistic centers.
