Dance is taking over my life! I started belly dancing less than a year ago to help recover movement lost as a result of old injuries. I had no idea that I could do this, let alone do it in public! It's exhilarating to learn something so completely different. That I am doing this for the first time at the age of 43 strikes me as both funny and amazing. With back, knee, hip, and neck problems - along with the normal stuff that comes with age, 2 kids, sitting too much - I can dance. And if I can do this, anyone can. I love performing, and I love having the ability to convey feelings through music and dance. As I am really just barely beginning, I am watching and learning all I can. Costuming has also provided another means of creativity, and many new ways to spend way too much money. After 15 years as a psychologist, wife, and mother- life became both serious and staid. My two beautiful daughters are watching their mother transform. It turns out that joy is contagious.
