Just put them up, right on the front page! I want to get these out the door so that I can invest in some pretties for winter for the site, so I put them on sale for $20 each. For those of you going to Urban Gypsy with Zuza, I'll also be bringing some tops - just not these ones. Buy Gypsy!

Well, it may seem second nature to some of us, but for others tribal eyes can be a challenge. So I made a tutorial as part of my Dancing Free Project for The Gypsy Kiss. Enjoy and share it around as much as you can! Thanks!!!

I'm so excited - another art gallery is carrying my Twisted Willow Jewelry http://www.thegypsykiss.com/GypsyArtwearJewelry.html <---- this stuff!!!
I'm up to two, plus a gift shop and my shop online (link above). I guess I've been doing it for years now, though, so it's about time! It's flattering.
I"m a little out of shape from a few weeks of no exercise after getting my wisdom toothies out. Yikes! That was no fun. But I've been active the last 4 days, so I'm getting there. I really want to work on a solo - I've never had a real one except for improv. And of course the only songs that appeal to me are ones at least 4 minutes long. Oh, well, it'll whip me back in shape!

The days lately have been so beautiful! I'm so thankful to hear the birds, and be in my forest-y home. This summer is going to be great - I have so many ideas for The Gypsy Kiss, my jewelry, my kids, and my two million other hobbies - especially dancing - that my head is spinning.
Emotions' Place in Belly Dance

I just finished putting my latest rant on my site. It's starts from my last blog post and elaborates - why do so many dancers ignore emotion while dancing? I feel that it's extremely important, especially for the intermediate to professional dancer, after you really do have the moves down. Here's the linkypoo:

Well, I"m all tucked in to bed and thinking about dancing. Emotions and dancing have been on my mind a lot lately. A friend sent me an e-mail that explored it a little bit, but not in depth - I'd already written part of an article on it this morning to put on my site. Does it seem to you all that some dancers just put out one emotion, in effect, a mask? Like their show face. But somehow it's only got one expression. I love watching dancers that show all kinds of emotions - humor, joy, sadness, longing, anger, pride, spirituality, love. And all kinds of nuances and degrees of emotion. That's my new goal in my dancing. To show all the things that are inside through my dance.

Do you guys ever finish choreographies and then just kinda fizzle on them, even when they're done? Or write the WHOLE THING minus about 2 measures of music, and then abandon it? I've been doing that a lot lately - I'm wondering if it's just insecurity. Maybe I should just choreograph a solo, there'd be less pressure for other people to like it... I'm such a wimp! LOL Also I've been sick with minor things more than usual this year, and that's kept me from growing as much as I'd like in actual dance technique, although I made up for it learning about costuming. Anyway, Blah!

It's so springy out there! It doesn't look like spring yet, but it finally feels like it. I'm sitting at my 'puter, though, instead of dancing like a dervish - I'd better go downstairs and work out while I have the time.
I gained some weight in the last few months because of a med I'm on - it's a strange feeling, because I've always been thin. But - I really like it. It's really a plus for dancing because I finally jiggle when I shimmy. It makes me feel womanly! I love chub rolls on dancers - they're the ultimate accessory! LOL

Christmas Spirit for the Tribal Spirit

I gave myself a really nice little pedicure. I'ts sooo good to be almost well. I'm all ready to sleep and I had a good, holiday -type day. Going to get David tomorrow and have a nice weekend, and I get to have the kids for Christmas Eve and morning!!!!! I am sooo excited.

Not sure what to give my oldest yet. All he likes is guns. He's such a cootie.

I still have so many things to make and do, but they're mainly fun. I decided to put off job hunting until I feel well, a day or two more. I can't believe how slowly this stupid thing is passing. I'll just be super productive here, cooking and cleaning and creating gifts etc. I can't wait to have a movie night with David!

So yes, I'm feeling better than a few days ago. Call it Christmas. Oh, TSOS peeps, I made you all gifts but I don't know if I can get them to you in time! They may be late.

A New Day

Today is the first day I've awakened to no real symptoms of a cold in 2 weeks, exactly. I've powered through 2 out of 3 finals with this cold and fevers. Blah. Only one more, tomorrow.

I was so excited to get well so I could get stuff done! I think that the prolonged boredom has rotted my brain! hehehe I'd better get some coffee and get to work. I have all kinds of crochet projects to do and a cabaret belly dance outfit to make, and I want to get a part time job too!

Sniffles

So I woke up this morning feeling ok. That's a big improvement! I'm finally getting better.

An old friend came by to rent some of my Renaissance costumes today. It was nice to visit with her again!

I finished (sent) another assignment today, and now I just have to plan a presentation for Monday. That's all I have to do today. I'm sooo glad! I'm still a little run down. I like assignments like this, but not when I feel poopy.

I really want to apply at a few places ASAP, but I still just don't feel well enough to leave the house for that long, and I'd look pretty pathetic and slouchy and sniffly no matter how much I dressed up. I think my chances are better if I go in a few days. Plus classes are ALMOST done, so it would be less stressful if I waited until Thursday, but I don't know if I'll wait that long.

It's just one of those sick -sit- in-bed-days. Thanks goodness I can do that!

My head feels like a balloon has been blown up inside i t. Aren't sinus infections fun? Well, I tried applying at a liquor store, (a really fun local one, not a creepy one) for just one day a week to go with my F-T student schedule, but they don't need anyone. It's amazing I found the strength to toddle in there at all. I was gone for a total of 50 minutes, and it completely drained me. I'll try a few other places as soon as I feel better!

Also, my insurance company sucks. They made an unauthorized withdrawal from my checking account. They are no longer my insurance company. Where is the customer service???

And finally, I am going to try to finish my 3 page paper today, even though my head hurts. Got to make some progress on these final projects.

Someday soon, things will be easier and it won't be such a huge fight just to keep my head above water. Good Tiiiimes...

Keep sending me good vibes - it helps! I'll make it through.

I just want to dance - ok, maybe in Hawaii...

So I finished ALL of the assignments for E-Commerce except for the final paper. I did about 8 week's worth of work in a 24 hour period. Woot!

Now I will focus on my other classes for a bit and get all perfectly up to date with them, and then I need to do bills and clean.

Only problem is, I really don't have the energy or excitement to do any of it, but that doesn't seem to matter - people want their assignments and money whether it's convenient for me or not.

That was a LOT OF WORK and all I get for it is a cold *sniff* - won't someone feel sorry for me? LOL

I'm going to slam my coffee - sometimes that makes me excited for whatever I've got to do.

Can anyone say VA - CA - TION? Those three little syllables... they're like buttah, I'm tellin' you. Only catch is, I want a vacation that I earned and to go on it alone. In the works, I'm telling you. Ok I'll stop mumbling.

Oh, boy. I am so behind on my schoolwork that I am going to be just doing that and that alone for a few days. So if you don't see me around, that's why! But I'm going strong with the Gypsy Bazaar on Saturday, so everyone stop by for lots of fun and super low pricing for the holidays! If you need directions message me.

When I logged back on, I created that around 20 amazing woman had taken the pod (tribe type thing) I had begun and had been posting etc faithfully and making a gorgeous feminine dance community - all without me! roflol talk about go-getters! Well, I'm getting involved now!
