yeah I usually grabbed a can of rat now and then and didn't really appreciate it much but home made is definitely better and especially when I cook it up in a frying pan and the courgettes don't get soft...
cooked up in olive oil and balsamic vinegar and garlic and soy sauce and parsley and olives etc... I've been eating it with pasta but maybe it would be better with some fresh bread... |

I have rice and I'll probably stock pile if I can remember to...
I usually use the cheapo short grain to make risotto... my favourite has been oyster mushrooms... but I have been overdoing that stuff... |

the rice problem will be global soon along with rising food prices generally...
most supermarkets here have unbranded cheapo basics but those stocks seem to be slower at refilling on the shelves... the end is nigh... |

We grow a fair bit of rice here... and export a lot of it to asia. I have noticed the basmati I like is getting more expensive - that's an imported variety because the climate doesn't suit it to grow locally. Maybe I should buy myself a small swamp...
