I'm listening to "Pre-Millennium Tension" right now by Tricky. I forgot how much I love this CD. I actually had a hard time listening to it way back when it came out, but now it feels just so right. I love when music makes me feel this way. One day I will actually update this blog properly. For now I listen to Tricky, loud.

I haven't posted here in so long but it's officially halloween! I just heard "Bela Lugosi's Dead" by Bauhaus on the radio. Yay! Tomorrow my family will be forced to listen once again to my halloween music mix. So bad! So good! So creepy! Right now though it's off to bed. Wonder if the little one will wear his garden gnome costume? I can only hope.

I have just eaten a whole medium size bag of mini eggs in about 10 minutes. Good lord! After I pop one in my mouth I say "okay last one", then I put another in. My teeth hurt, my tummy hurts, but I can't stop myself. The bad part is a know there will be tonnes more here on Sunday. Ack! I have no will power.

1. The dog has been chewing on the boys plastic bowling ball even though I just retrieved ALL of his toys from under the couch. 2. When I took the ball away from him, he went into the kitchen and peed a lake of urine in the middle of the floor out of protest having the ball taken away 3. After I kicked him out and cleaned up the mess, I went downstairs to my "craft room" to get some fabric. When I opened up the wardrobe I keep all my costumes in and costume making fabric, everything fell out because the bar holding everything up snapped. Needless to say it is a frickin nightmare of fabric, beaded bedlahs, harem pants, cholis, veils, coins and all matter of shiney down there. 4. I shut off the light, came upstairs and poured myself a glass of red wine. The sewing, clean up and re-organizing will have to wait until tomorrow.

I went into The Textile Clearance House today and came out with exactly what I went in for and that is all. I went in for pink thread, and came out with pink thread. And I only spent 1.51 which is the cheapest trip I have every made into any fabric store in my whole life. When I got home my husband was in utter disbelief. As in "where are you hiding the big bag? ". I guess going into a fabric store when you are drowning in projects with a looming deadline is really a good preventative measure.

I just watched Billy Idol's video for "White Christmas" on YouTube and it was so bad! In fact I had to stop it becaue I was so ashamed for him. I just wanted him to smash something, or start rocking out at the very least. Instead he ho hums through and looks embrassed the whole time. Shades of "Love Actually". Ah dear. However he is still completely sexy. As much now as when I was in grade 6 at Mike Fedune's house listening to "Rebel Yell". I think that "Little Drummer Boy / Peace on Earth" by Bowie and Bing Crosby is stll the best Christmas carol

Another late night

Lately I've had insomnia. It started last Thursday and basically if I don't go to bed by 11 or so, I'm up until 3 or 4. At least that is how it has been for the last few nights. So here I am on the computer, listening to the weather network and fooling around on the computer. Back in my life bc (before children) this just wouldn't matter. I could stay up till five or so, then go to sleep till 11 am. Get up, smoke a cigarette, read a book or magazine, have a shower and start my day. But now that is so not possbile. I'm responsible for two other people. Baby is sick, snot city. Gross. Tomorrow a children's play at the JCC with preschool. Right now, a craving for ice cream. I need to go to sleep but I know I won't get there for awhile. At least this might make me tired. I had the song "Uncle Albert" by Wings stuck in my head for approximately 6 hours today. It finally left around dinner, and now it's back. Oh dear, that is the last thing I need in my head while I fight to go to sleep. Ugh.

Snow Day

It's my first snow day today. The pre-school is not open. Funny because growing up in Saskatchewan, in my 13 years of regular school, I only had one snow day and that was in 1982. The snow that day went upper thigh (granted I was 10). So I find this funny. But we have to venture out and get groceries regardless. Also if I don't get out of here, my kids will drive me over the edge!

I best thing about coming off a detox cleanse is how "virgin" your body is afterwards. Went to a b-day party tonight (it's day one post cleanse). I ate some cheese fondue (Gee-sus I love cheese!) and three glasses of red wine. Mmmm tippy. Now it's some olives then bed. Good times!

I haven't been here for so long, so much to catch up on. The summer has been fine but I am looking forward to the fall and dance classes resuming. Lot's of good things happened this summer, but there is an unbelievably sad and unthinkable thing happening among my close friends. It's too much to even think about sometimes. Back from a relatively quiet trip of the "Pacific Northwest" with the family. Good times and the boys did so well in the car. I'm home to many many post on tribe I'll never read, a flurry of activity in my little bellydance world and a freshly graffittied (my word and spelling) garage door. I want to keep the large and ugly tag on the door, but my man wants to paint it. What to do what to do. PS- gettng obsessed witha doc about Heavy Metal. My inner banger loves it. What a odd post.
