how would we do integration using partial fractions!?

They spelled my name wrong (what else is new?), but check it! On official City of Pittsburgh stationery and everything! Does this make me an honorary furry now?flickr.com/photos/mvvm/...603646835822/
Well, i guess i'm off to comb through the pics from Morley's going away party (sniff). Anyone care to make a wild guess as to how many there are of my (blank)? Morley's very fond of demonstrating her skill with snap buttons.
talk to me, baby
Girl Talk was amazing, as expected. It was made truly incredible by a stellar grouping of friends, not-so-old and newish. It's not exactly my favorite style of music (gasp!), but I love to dance and it had been a while.....besides, the technical skill and aplomb with which this dude does his thing is truly something to be seen. The whole scene was like some bizarre Steeler orgy, with terible towels and confetti flying everywhere. People danced on the stage, a la Ween, except boys were allowed up there, too. Well, at least in theory. Thanks, Noise (www.rowdydow.com), for taking some great photos of the occasion!Iron Chef II
Well, here are the results of our highly questionable voting for tonight (see attachment). Ironically, the most popular dishes were almost completely unrelated to our agreed-upon theme ingredients, with the notable exception of Teppy's lamb fondue which did contain a significant, arterial clogging and delightfully tasty amount of brie cheese (my suggested theme ingredient, as it just so happens [shameless plug no. 1]) and was clearly enjoyed by all, or at least me, on a much deeper than palate level. My doctor says I don't have to elaborate further.Based on the voting and the remaining contestants' general consensus, it was decided that the portobello (aka portabella) pizza was the outstanding contender in the mushroom category, which was amusingly ironic considering Renee's (the primary, if not only driving force with regard to this dish) professed and recently developed distaste, nay repulsion, towards said theme ingredient. Yay Renee!
The lamb bruchetta, with its unexpected, though well-deserved showing, deserves particular kudos, considering its eleventh-hour, patchwork formulation and devotion to the team-spirit element, as every team member's contribution to this dish was crucial to its success - all partialities aside [shameless plug no. 2] ;) The remaining contestants agreed as such.
All in all, an incredibly successful showing. In my humble opinion, *every* single dish was immensely successful and I can't wait to do it again. Honorable mention goes to the addition of very yummy desert items, which were woefully absent at the last smackdown.
Let's all give a massive, well-deserved thanks to Teppy (and little Dustin) for providing the means, the spectacular equipment and the prodigious spirit to such a fun and unique evening.
Rock!

Duh
so, g and i scampered off to cincy on monday to watch some of the tennis tournament that's being held out there. it was fun; really fun. if you have even a slight interest in tennis, there's nothing like going to one of these things and seeing it in person. you can wander around the grounds and watch lower-level players, or even big-name ones, play early-round matches on small courts - close enough to see beads of sweat and hear them talking to themselves. we watched max mirnyi (aka "the beast") play one match; sat right behind the baseline and i swear i though i'd lose any eye the way this guy serves. there was a full bar, so g and i got nicely drunk monday night and got rodwy at vincent spadea's (cool guy, lots of personality: www.smashtennis.com/blogs/sp...index.asp ) monday night, opening round match. it got rained out twice! but it was even cool watching the ball kids dry off the court. anyway, the highlight was when vince thanked me for cheering him on after the match. swoon!oh, here's a tip: next time you plan a road trip and there's a chance something's wrong with your car from, say, that little brush you had with a tractor-trailer earlier in the week, check your car out throroughly beforehand, especially the tires, to see if maybe you need new ones. apparently you can't drive for 40K miles on 20K-mile tires. who knew? then maybe you won't miss the one match you so desperately wanted to see (blake/santoro).
p.s. andy murray beat roger federer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

my sexy new racket:www.tennis-warehouse.com/Revie...w.html
one of the best ever. it's been said that the only limitations you will percive in this racket are your own. holding this thing is like holding a great big flawless ruby, except it's not just pretty to look at. and playing with it is like magic. i can honestly say it's the closest i've come to having a spiritual experience.
i'm so going to kick g's ass with this thing. eventually.
oh, and this is cute, too:
