As if there isn’t enough crap in our food supply already, the AP has just released the results of a five month investigation regarding contaminates in our drinking water. Numerous spokespeople for various cities have insisted that the "parts per million" is non-toxic and "safe." I call BULLSHIT. Think homeopathy, people. We are not so subtly bombarded with air pollution, radio waves, and aurically impure thoughts each day! We’ve known for awhile that water contains too much chlorine (whi...

I have been operating on a philosophical and existential pursuit for months--especially as the new year turned and for once I did not make a big list of resolutions (some of which have become clear but I still haven't written down). I have stayed up way too late way too long and with much too much unapplied energy~thus surfing the net, watcing tv re-runs online, planning my next adventure, wondering how to change my life into something more meaningful and something that makes sense.

Been in this new casa/cage for 40 days and 40 nights now. And be-Jeezus did it rain! (The five gallon bucket full of gardening tools filled completely in two days)....how do I describe thee? A cave (East facing windows), the Mother Earth Ship (built into the hillside moderately enough that the door on the other end requires a few stairs), warmer than our other place (Like I said, we are somewhat built into the ground so it probably doesn't take much to warm it up), and small. Wheeeeeeee! SAVE THE BEES!!! SAVE THE BEES!!!
Hey there bee--ooo-tee-fulls, happy turkey day. I don't necessarily agree with the basic premise of this holiday but if we can all stash away our ultra politically correct hats away for a minute and just use this as an opportunity to be thankful for what we have in our lives, good enuff for me. Plus, I get to eat as much mashed potatoes as I want! (and you, your favorite--stuffing, the big bird, sweet potatoes, whatever floats your GI boat) Tonight I had elk roast instead of turkey. Mat...

Ever since this summer some funny guy tried to remember my name..."Ramona....Ramona...uh, wait don't tell me! Ramona Pandemonia!" at Island Festival, I have been toying with the idea of 'graduating.' After several months, I relinquish the term as part of my essential character. I like the way the word rolls off the tongue, but I love the word mayhem even more.

It came to my attention tonight via my mom that all bees are FEMALE. Like all cows are female and a 'boy cow' is a bull, all bees are female. Drones, (the male insect resembling the beautific bee belle) are male. They have larger eyes than the average (so they can spot the queen bee more easily), can't fly, and generally sloth around the hive eating the food until the worker bees get fed up (or rather, until it starts to get cold and it's evident the queen bee has already been ...serviced....

Category: Goals, Plans, Hopes After nearly four years in one little house, my lease was abruptly terminated.
