I have always loved to dance, and I've been exposed to lots of different styles. I chose bellydance when I moved to SLC b/c it was a little bit of a culture shock moving from PDX, and then going to work in an uber-conservative elementary school. Yikes! I needed something that was a little taste of home (facial piercings, anyone? Please???). Desert Journey was the perfect place to shake off the work week and meet cool peeps.

My loves: my husband, Justin (I know it's lame, but it's just SO TRUE!), food (mostly sweets), drinks (mostly alcoholic ones), and dancing, dancing, dancing! I love going to clubs and dancing all night. I dance in my kitchen while I cook dinner (two loves combined!). Okay, back to loves. I love my two sugargliders (flying squirrels for those of you non-exotic-pet-owners), my Siamese, Cleo, who is crazy but has never once tried to eat the sugarbabies, and my daemon cat, Panther.

Weird Random Facts About Me: I'm a 2nd degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do. I was a varsity cheerleader. I used to have purple hair. I used to have orange hair. I used to have 8 piercings, but now I only have 7. I love getting tattoos, but I limit myself to one body-modifying procedure per year. I love getting stuff for free (I haven't had to buy shampoo in years...ask me how!). I'm a vegetarian. I'm a recycling fanatic. I studied ancient Hebrew writing and speaking for two years.
