I'm, to paraphrase Mothering Magazine's mission statement, both a gentle supporter of the principles of "attachemnt parenting" though I think the concept has been hyped into a sort of cult where, especially over the Internet, women who will never meet in person are too quick to tell others how to live like "true attachment parents"...and a strong believer that everyone needs to take a look at how mothers are held to an entirely different standard than fathers - you can read sociologist Arlie...
