We were sitting around the campfire one day, and Tao was combing Dog -- there was only one Dog then, and we called him Dog -- and he had this great big clump of hair that the wind was pushing everywhere. We told him he could only keep combing Dog if he DID something with the fur.
So he spun it into thread, and invented cordage. He's that cool.

and he smells good, too.

Mmmm...a very real, beautiful man. No one wears skirts quite like he does...and if you're nice he'll let you touch his fantastic ass! As a serious lover of women, Tao is definitely an exception.....and that smile of his is very contagious. Although I don't see him very often at all, every time I do, it feels as if no time has passed!

Tao is goofy and gangly and in a good way. He was my very first lover (more than 14 years ago), and he still blushes when I say that in public. He's a good man to know.

Tao's just good people. Plain and simple.

about me
A cynical dreamer, quietly extroverted, shyly gregarious, poised in hyperactive stillness.
A friendly, flirty freak or a morbid, moody mope - depends on the day.
I am often bouncy, playful, funny, saucy and creative.
I am always fiercely loyal to my friends and a man of my word.
But remember, the Tao that can be seen is not the true Tao.
Yea-haw! Jasper & I finally got the firefamilygathering.org website updated for the new year, and the registration system is ready for business. Man that was a lot of work. Some day I am going to clean up the reg system I wrote for work and adapt it to fire gatherings. On the plus side, since I am not on council this year, I am pretty much done with my pre-gathering work...except for all the bios...and I know I will end up doing a lot to help out the lovely and talented registrar...and...

Yee-ha! What an exciting weekend. The Fire Family council was finally able to all get together in one spot (for the first time since last year's gathering) and get to it. We had an exhausting yet exhilarating marathon of visioning, processing and legal hoop jumping. We now have a legal structure as a non-profit corporation, with bylaws, job descriptions and a decision-making process. Yay! The limbo of the last couple of months have been frustrating for everyone involved, but now we have a...

Spark just held a circle at Pantheacon last Sunday, and it was wild. This was our first time bringing the kind of circles we do to a larger, non-fire-family, audience. It went really well. I was shocked by how many people showed up. It wouldn't surprise me if the number of people stuffed into that little room was greater that the number of folk at the Phoenix Fire opening we did. You could barely shuffle along in the circle, and we quickly lost a bunch of folk, but then it settled down to...

Hot damn! We did it! We really did it!
180 amazing people came together and created the staggeringly beautiful gathering called Phoenix Fire. After so many ups and down, so many hopes and challenges, I can hardly believe it all came together so smoothly, and with such grace.
Here is to passionate dreams and passionate dreamers.
Yay!
