Rule One of the Art of Carpooling...
Don't spend the entire time bitching about traffic.I sat in a car this morning with one of my co-workers for an hour, and approximately half of the time was spent by my co-worker complaining about traffic. Granted, the distance traveled sans traffic only takes 20 minutes, but I was getting to the point of irritation, and for those that know me, that takes a lot. I like this co-worker, and we get along just fine at work, but I'm starting to wonder if I can handle getting into a car with her two days a week with her behind the wheel.
It is amazing how the act of driving transforms people into raving, white knuckled, frazzled lunatics.
