Love

September 4, 2007
This girl fucking rocks!
She totally took me under her wing for my first Burning Man.
I have only known her for a short while, but she took care of me as if we were old friends.
I'm so glad I met her. What an awesome, beautiful person!
So giving and genuine.
Gotta love her!

Cheers to Manda Bear'

Watchout folks...her sweetness is contagious!

Manda Bear...I love this girl!!! And I love the fact that everyone now calls her Manda Bear..hehehhehee....that was my playa name I gave her back in 2003 and now everyone uses it! Yayyyyyyyyyy!!

What can I say about this hilarious, cute, sexy, sweet (but not innocent...hehe j/k) girl. This hottie knows how to be a dork, just like me!!! Yeahhhhhhh dorks RULE (especially when they got big butts!) It's all about the BBC (Big Butt Crew or was it Big Butt Club)- whateva, it's just all about the big butts... LOL

Oh yeah and did I mention that this girl can bring you back to the ol' school (when hip hop was good)!! It's like we were cosmic hip hoppers in another life or somethin'! ;o)

Much love to you Manda Bear...I love the journey that we are all evolving towards...yay to Agape and the Law of Attraction!!! ;o)

much love - from one dork to another - from one BBC to another,
your homey,
Phelangey a.k.a. Tangee

Awwwwww my mandy pie!! How do i love thee... let me count the ways....
I love her for her beauty, her laughter, her smile and her dorkiness. I feed off her strength and all the times that she has been there for me. the comfort we share is like that of sisters, always looking out for eachother. I am never bored with this little lady, she is my partner in crime, she's many things, but the most beautiful thing about mandy is her HUGE HEART not many can even begin to imagine how lucky we all are to have this girl in our lives. she has much to offer and the love she receives is a reflection of the kind of person she is. She's a 1 in a million and I'm glad that she's mine.

about me
I have a very silly sense of humor and like to live life to the fullest. Blessed with friends that are like family to me. I love Conan O'Brien. Mind full of useless information (although there is some useful stuff in there too)... I like trivia, and absolutely love Halloween. Pretty much a big dork.

'When you travel, you experience, in a very practical way, the act of rebirth. You confront completely new situations, the day passes more slowly, and on most journeys you don't even understand the language that people speak. So you are like a child just out of the womb. You begin to be more accessible to others because they may be able to help you in difficult situations. And you accept any small favor from the gods with great delight, as if it were an episode you would remember for th... read more

The lineup is out!

Friday highlights for me: Jack Johnson, The Verve, Fatboy Slim, The Breeders, Tegan and Sara, Spank Rock and Modeselektor. And even though I am not familiar with their music, I will have to check out Minus the Bear just on their name alone. : )

Saturday highlights for me: PORTISHEAD (yes, that's right...Portishead. We've been speculating on this one for years and I'm so excited it's finally happening!) Kraftwerk, Death Cab, Rilo Kiley, M.I.A., Cold War Kids, VHS or B... read more

This much I Do Remember

It was after dinner.
You were talking to me across the table
about something or other,
a greyhound you had seen that day
or a song you liked,

and I was looking past you
over your bare shoulder
at the three oranges lying
on the kitchen counter
next to to the small electric bean grinder,
which was also orange,
and the orange and white cruets for vinegar and oil.

All of which converged
into a random still life,
so fastened together by the hasp of colo... read more

I've been reading this book since I've been home from the playa, and I'm enjoying it very much. Not alot of people are aware that this successful actor is also an accomplished poet, and I wanted to share some of his work with you. You may remember Michael Madsen as the guy who cut off the cop's ear in Resevoir Dogs? I find his poetry to be hilarious, witty and insightful. Here are a few of my favorites, hope you like..

So I know alot of people are probably running around like crazy gettin ready for the playa, but I wanted to take the time to respond to Mary's tag in the midst of all the chaos! I think it's really cool to get to know things about people that you might see around alot, but don't know jack about when it really comes down to it. So here goes...

1. I grew up in Cypress, California which is in Orange County. That's right, I grew up in the OC for real. My house was two blocks away from the Los ... read more
