I wish I could make links in this tribe blog thingie -- check out PASTE radio if you get a chance and don't already listen to it regularly. i really like listening to PASTE - it's one way to be reminded of music I might not otherwise come across. National Public Radio "All Songs Considered" is another venue for finding out about new music.

Our kids also introduce us to new music by making us mxed cds --- I love that. don't always love every piece they choose, but i definitely like to be exposed. Thanks, you guys. :-D

about me
I'm a real person with laundry to do, pies to bake, kids, pets, a husband and my own landscape design business. I have a background in science, graphic design and fine arts. I sing and make music. I write everyday. Art and photography get squeezed in between the other stuff, but they are as important as breathing and eating. I'm over 50. My husband and I live in Montana. My siblings and mom live in British Columbia. We have 5 adult kids scattered across the globe: Josh, Sarah, John, Mickey and Gabe.

Tim, my husband and soulmate, makes his living as an artist-with-wood. He builds incredibly beautiful and soulful custom furniture. You can see his furniture and cabinetry at www.timothyswoodworking.com

Our 17 year old dog, Sam is still happy to be in this lifetime with us. Sam, along with his buddy, Baggins (the orange tabby who deigns to live with us, but dines at a round-robin of houses in the neighborhood) keep life interesting at home.

best way to find out more about me is to explore around my blogs. I have two blogs, one where I kinda write more and post links to things I think are cool on the web (Raven's Nest: ravengrrl.blogspot.com and another which is more of a photo-blog, but where I also do some writing to accompany the photos and other artwork I post there. That one is Land of Little Rain: maureensphotoblog.blogspot.com

I love it when people connect with something I have made or written and let me know they feel a connection. It would be truly fine if you left me comments on my blogs, so I'll know you're there appreciating (or not, for that matter.) thanks.
