Whatever else we may do with the time of our lives, nothing can be of more enduring consequence than the hours we give to the health and growth of our own hearts.

In my humble opinion, what matters in today’s world is not the difference between those who believe and those who do not believe, but the difference between those who care and those who don't.

It may be hard to define, but we all know it when we see it. Shakespeare called it the glorious intangible. Heart is the will to do, and the soul to dare. It's two parts caring, and two parts passion.
It's people who give more than they take. Heart has no particular age, gender or color, accepts no boundaries, offers no excusses, overcomes all odds, and comes through smiling.

Effeminate War

A young girl of 13 wrote this poem for a school play that was acted out by her class mates. I was disturbed that she felt this way. Moved by her eloquent way of expressing her feelings. Sad for what she was taught! I reminisce on this having been their once upon a time!

Effeminate War

Beware of the girl livid with rage
One who wants to inflict her wrath
against the ideal she is forced to live
But does not understand its source
She cannot turn off the faucet for fear of dehydration
She cannot turn off the light for fear of impending darkness
Her sorrow is the lack of ink upon a leaf of blank paper
Dead with empty space, ugly and plain

Beware of the girl
Not because she lives ignorance of her rage
But rather because she does so willfully
Making it easier for herself to live with the cold reality
That she is the lonely white feather stuck in the mud
Your favorite shirt that got too small
The Novel undeniably doomed for failure
A forgotten picture on the wall
I see her
I feel her
Most of all
I hater her!

I come from nowhere
I have no landscapes
I have no homeland
with my fingers, I can start a fire
and my heart strings throb
I was born of love
I have no place
I have no landscape
and I have no homeland

Fortresses

Lately I have been letting the hard times color my perspective. I have been becoming so bitter, that I’m building huge fortresses around myself which was never my way of looking at the world!

I realize that the protection I’ve created is actually keeping me from finding my path and the direction.

I acknowledge these unproductive negative feelings so I can focus clearly on the present which will enhance the chances for my/our future.

The bottom line; I’m thankful and own my part of the bad situation that has become and I’m equally blessed for the good/truths that has opened my eyes to my learning more about integrity and dedication towards honesty.

From bitter to better to breaking down the fortresses!

Pealing stickers wave me goodbye

Sadness hit home as my blue bell is towed away to another life to be scrapped and junked. Back window stickers that have been sun kissed with love, flaking, pealing wave me goodbye! If I could I would make an art piece out of her and put a fountain in the back as she rust’s away with me! I would mosaic my thoughts across her mossy shell, which would tell a story of her life. But it is not to be had at this time of change!

Change, Yes! It is amazing and lovely! To reflect back over the last 9 years of the wonders and travels we have had! She was the best and held out to the very end of my long hard goal, which was so important to me and now is over! The gift of independence, free of debt and change!

My blue bell whom I took the time to warm up, caress, and love and she gave back ten times more! Parting is sweet sorrow!

In my life from spring of 1997 to fall 2005
Scraped after 29 years
