Bitchy Tribal
Sun, October 28, 2007 - 9:37 AMToday I just want to scream, someone has posted on the tribe a friends personal details of where she lives and home/mobile numbers. The lady in question suggested that people contact my friend to ask for money that is owed by someone else???? WHY????
Looking at the persons profile, she obviously knows my friend as she had her details (Thankfully Nicki has recently moved, so the details are wrong) and she has created a new 'persona' to list the post, so she can't be identified. SO as well as being a cow for doing so, she's a coward to boot - What a bitch!
Why does this have to happen, Shani and I talked today how it seams it's all gone abit catty in the Tribal world at the moment. I just don't get it.
Lets all take the time to breath in positive energy and exhale the negative....................and to this Amanda person who has put my friend at risk... Karma will come and bite you on the arse!

A plague of rotton frogs fall on their heads! What on earth would make someone do that?!!!

I must say, sometimes women are the most vicious creatures on Earth but as you say, karma will get them and as long as we all stick together and stay positive, hopefully the negative people out there causing unhappiness might get a good dose of it!

It wasn't this Amanda! I'm kinda feeling that too about the tribal world in general - like I was seeing it through rose-tinted specs or summat at first & now there's this under-current (in some areas) that spoils it a bit. Don't get me wrong, I still love it & meet such fantastic people, but wish we could all just be happy for each other & just enjoy the dancing - it's what brings us together, after all! Have you managed to get the post deleted?x

At least you can take heart in the fact that you have way more friends Amanda ;o)

Careful now...some of us without a huge friend list are OK too.
I think these situations are born from bottling things up. Often it is hard to raise a frustrating issue and with time this errupts into venomous destructive behaviour. We all need to fight our inner seether! It is all a bit depressing though isn't it? |

Just been and had a look on the site......
Scratch my above comment....think the person concerned is merely enormously stupid. X |

I agree with Colleen with either stupidity or complete naivity. However it did make me laugh that our Amanda called the other Amanda a doofus! So pleased no one is in the office with me to hear my giggle out loud at that one.
As for tribal bitchiness compared to cabaret (?) bitchiness - I haven't had the former in the same amount as the latter.....YET - but I think the "sisterhood" feeling isn't as strong as we are led to believe! |

I'm with you girl!
So ladies what do we do about it? My suggestion is to lead by example and stay positive and light on our feet. Negativity just weighs you down. |

very stoopid to post someones details on the net....Staying positive I like Tribe because it is much less bitchy than some other forums and you'll get a numpty or two along the way.

I think you said it perfectly! :) |

Well, it WAS doofus behaviour! I think if we all tried to put ourselves in somebody else's position before we acted or spoke, it'd go a long way. "How would I feel if...." guides a lot of what I do (not that I always get it right). And to remembering to do or say nice things - doesn't cost anything & might turn someone's crappy day into a slightly better one!

it's a good rule to live by... but it doesn't stop me wanting to shout at rude people for example when you're entering/exiting a shop door and you hold it open for some grunt they waltz through ignoring you like you're their butler (I have shouted at them and it made me feel much better ) Sorry to ruin the happy karma. I'm a kickboxing pacifist. It's a dilemma. Om. Nameste.
