Though she's entirely too generous in her testimonial-giving, and she'll never admit it in real life, Veritasema is the most conscientious and generous person I've met.
As well, I'm glad that she's just as offbeat (ok, euphamism for insane) as I am and very glad that she decided to join that bellydancing class with me after all. ;)

Have any of you had this experience?
I log on and right up in the left hand corner there is an indication that someone (or someones) have looked at my profile. But there is never a message, never a friend request.
I don't post very often, so I doubt it is anyone tracking back from something I've said. I mainly use tribe to get information, and coordinate with some of my fellow dancers. What exactly are they looking for?

In light of the whole new spin on my life recently...new apartment, the search for a new job, new furniture, new clothes and the rest. I have been spending a lot of time thinking about what else I need to start anew.
I watched our Rakkasah video several times.....and I spent a lot of time thinking about all the bits that could have been done differently. And it occurred to me that many of the things I would have changed were things I couldn't do because of my foot.
My foot, you rememb...

I should have known when I got there it was not going to go well. I arrived at the office, and plumped down all my bits and pieces and my $15 co-pay, and they asked for my referral. Well, I didn't HAVE a referral, because I wasn't told I would need one. Wasn't told when I made my appointment, wasn't told when they confirmed on Friday. Therefore, I didn't HAVE one. I was told to call the primary care, I did, and they said a referral would be faxed to the podiatrist office this afternoon, ...

So this upcoming Sunday (the 24th), is the dance performance for Peggy's Tribal class. That has me thinking, a lot, about her and the direction of my dance career, and stuff like that.
Peggy was an amazing woman, she taught me a lot more than just dance steps. She had a whole ethos and approach to dance that just lit her up from within. You could see it when she danced, the joy. No matter what else was going on in her life, and it wasn't all happiness, it never showed when she was danc...

Its been an odd year since I hurt my foot. I had to stop dancing (more than once), dabbled in tribal, formed a group and lost a teacher. All this came to a head on Sunday. Our group had its first ever public performance at Spring Caravan. We had packed the audience with family and friends, so we'd have a friendly group. We danced for the memory of our teacher Peggy, we danced for the unity of our group, and we danced for those we love. Our 8 minutes went by SO fast, that all the prep ti...
