A couple weeks ago I got to workshops with Rachel Brice and Jillina, and then the BDSS show, sort of hoping it would inspire me a bit for my upcoming performance. So glad I got to meet them, and the show was amazing, but it wasn't helping me think of stuff to do for a gothic belly dance piece. I loved the song, but it was too long and I wasn't happy with what was coming out.

I made an appointment for a private lesson with Sabrina--I'd never had a reason to do a private lesson before.
She tore it apart in the most honest but least mean way and gave me some great ideas on structure and storytelling. Man, next time I have a performance coming up I'm so going back to her for a private lesson.
Totally worth it.

Except next time I think I'll do it more than 2 days before. Yeesh.
