I figured if ever I had a blog worthy event in my life, going to Nigeria is it.
I fly tomorrow but I am still waiting on my visa. If I don't get it this may become a very sad blog indeed. All that after getting shot up full of vaccines, promising my organs for a plane ticket and selling my soul to some expatriate Orishas.
If the Old Gods will have me I'll be flying into Lagos Sunday morning to meet My Mother!!!
I'm going on business, but what a wonderful business it is, preproduction for a movie on Nigerian music. I am told we will be meeting Fela Kuti's first wife and many of his kids. How cool is that? Well if you are a fan of Afro-beat and all things super-funky its teh shet!
