tribes.tribe.net/transmen_edu^This tribe with only 44 members has three Maxes posting. I'm more accustomed to meeting dogs named Max. They're all nice dogs but still dogs. It seemed extraordinary to me to find three Maxes in the same spot and in jest I suggested a "Max" tribe. That's when curiosity caused me to do this little bit of research and discover how many Maxes in the Tribe universe. I suppose that includes people with other names who call themselves Max and probably also a smattering of Maxines and that's fine with me. It isn't a scientific survey. My friend's four year old nephew was absolutely delighted to meet one other person in the world named Max. He had never met another Max before. The name seems to have gained in popularity among humans in the past several years but the canine population of Maxes seems to be holding steady. BTW, I've always liked my name and yes, it truly is my name. |

What's In A Name
Max is an excellent name. I've used it as an alias many a time. I used to have a passport under that name.
