My Writes
SO MUCH TO DO, SO LITTLE TIME!!
My list of "200 things to do before I die" is rapidly changing shape, form, and direction. I think I'm going to lower the number to something like 50, just to make it a bit easier to complete the listing. UNTIL I actually finish the list, though, here's what I've got SO far.. :)Things to do before I die:
(Not in any particular order)
1. Be a little kid's hero.
2. Get married and have a family.
3. Teach a child to read. **
3. Visit China.
4. Visit Europe.
5. Go for a ride in a sailboat.
6. Feed a giraffe.
7. Visit the National Gallery in Washington, DC **
8. Visit the Tate Gallery in London.
9. Get a passport.
10. Visit India.
11. Visit Iceland.
12. Bellydance in the desert.
13. Build a "Habitat" House.
14. Take a course on the correct and safe way to restrain children with Autism.
15. Take in a Cirque du Soleil show!
16. Buy my own house, with a small bit of a patio/garden area, so I can sit outside in the evening, and watch the sun go down, or look at the moon, or wish on a star, or anything I want.
17. Graduate with my B.A. in English Literature.
18. Write a children's book.
**Denotes something I've already done.
Went ahead and posted these because Chris had been asking.. :)
Happy
Wore my youngest nephew down yesterday (and got in some GREAT exercise for myself!!) by walking him all over the Columbia Zoo, I'm waiting to hear back about a job with the local branch of a bank, and today my mom and I are going to go see "Dracula" performed by the Augusta Ballet.Things have been really great, lately. :)
Damn, I even think I'll go make the new tassels I've been wanting for my mirror belt; I know I said I hated making tassels, but I think that was because I was so stressed to finish that last costume at the time..
SORRY guys, that I didn't make it to belly dance class this past Wednesday!! :( I'll be there THIS Wednesday, of course, and will bring the books I promised to bring, so Jeannie and Amy --and whoever else would like to-- can look through them and see if there's anything you'd like.
Mmmmmmmm, bright bright colored tassels..... YESSSSSSS...
How do you eat an elephant?
One bite at a time..SleEpY
Friday... Yey, but bah, argghh..I really don't feel like going to work, today. I'd LOVE to stay home and just sleep.
..Mmmm, that'd be excellent..
Thank goodness I don't have classes on Friday. Ahh, I have enough to do, though, after work, or maybe squeezed in at lunchtime.
Right now I have to go get ready for work, I didn't realize it was already 7:20am.
I wish my little remote control Mini Cooper was a real car, so I could drive it to work, today...
**WISH WISH WISH WISH WISH WISH **EYES CLOSED AND WISHING SOME MORE**
**Looking at remote controlled Mini with breathless anticipation.**
Nothing. Still just 10 inches long. Bah, I can't drive that; where would I put my purse???
...SIGH...
Great quote I found today, whilst driving down Broad St:
"It doesn't matter how many times you fall down, it matters how many times you get up."SO true...
Let's Get it Started...
