Calling belly dancers afar.

Soooo... I am moving to Rochester, NY in August for school and I really want to keep up with my belly dance. Does anyone know any belly dancers out there (preferably tribal)? Teachers, etc.?

I would suggest contacting Morocco for a suggestion. She is wonderful. She is in NYC but would probably be able to help you find a creditable teacher there in the style you like. Contact - (212) 727-8326 and email morocco@casbahdance.org or website www.casbahdance.org/

That may give you a good start!

Hi - I just happened to see this post.

There is a fairly good sized dance community here in Rochester, but not so much tribal or fusion. Definitely more of that in Buffalo.

I'll send you some information another time about the different stuff here in Rochester. :-)
