See your short film idea become a reality at The Duke City Shootout, a film festival like no other. www.dukecityshootout.org Seven winners will be flown to Albuquerque and given a cast, high definition camera, lighting equipment, crew, post production facilities and a professional mentor to help through the process. Mentors and judges for the 2005 Duke City Shootout included such luminaries as Morgan Freeman, Tom Waits, Peter Fonda, Phyllis Diller, Talia Shire, and Patricia Cardoso.

The Duke City Shootout: 48HFP

By way of Duke City Shootout, The 48 Hour Film Project descends upon New Mexico on the weekend of July 21st - 23rd. Filmmakers will compete to see who can make the best short film in 48 hours. The films will be a minimum of 4 minutes and a maximum of 7 minutes long. Credits do not count toward this limit.
