about me
2008:
What everyone needs are more opportunities to experience that simple pleasure in life that comes from exploring, discovering or simply "living" IN the world, and that is why I am a naturist and honestly enjoy getting outdoors and feeling it all. We had a simple time in our lives when we were children and did not care about such things as love, romance and sex, and then we "grew up" and acquired all this mixed up "baggage". I think there is nothing better than doing whatever you can to recapture the innocence of youth and enjoyment of BEING yourself and having people love you just for "being"! Naturism has taught me that adults are capable of this and do have places they practice it in private, and sometimes in public (like Hedonism in Jamaica). My one suggestion is to get out there, recapture it and enjoy it, you will live longer and be happier if you don't like that spark of wonder and joy go out!
2007:
What a year of mixed blessings and happenings. I worked most of the year with the exception of 4 weeks in April and May that required both my wife and myself to be off in order to travel to Nevada and get her a little surgery. I am glad that we did it because she wanted it, and it has made a dramatic difference in her outlook on life! It was Gastric Bypass surgery and although I still do not know if it was the BEST option available, I think it was the right option for her. Contact me if you want to know my complete opinion on be connected to her in order to discuss it. Dr. Francis Teng in Las Vegas did an amazing job and my wife only has 5 tiny scares from this incredible surgery!
2006:
Something I feel strongly about: "eminent domain" property seizures
If a city or government is going to seize someone's home under eminent domain in order to build anything, they should also seize an unoccupied home or newly constructed home and turn it over to the displaced family. When we consider the issue of what is "fair", or "right" or "legal", I think it says more about society to do what is fair. If the city of North Las Vegas is going to seize a home in order to expand the 5th Avenue road into a "mega arterial", then the displaced person or family should get a home of similar size and value elsewhere within the city in trade. That would be the fair thing to do!
If a governmental organization can justify the taking of one person's property for the benefit of many, then it should likewise be able to take one company's property (a single home) for THE SAME REASONS.
Anywhere else:
Any city or county that wants to attract both business and residents to its community should consider subsidizing home mortgages at a much lower interest rate. In the same way that municipal governments have the ability to issue bonds for the development of city services, they should issue bonds for the development of residential tracts. By this method allowing hard working people to afford a $200,000 dollar home without it costing them $600,000 or $700,000 over twenty or thirty years. Interest on home mortgages should never amount to more then a simple twenty-five percent of the original purchase price of the property. If banks and mortgage companies cannot afford to loan money at this rate, then I say they are being improperly or inefficiently run! It should be a more simple matter then what it seems to be these days.

"Colonial Williamsburg, Fife and Drum March - Fantastic!"
My wife and I spent Saturday in Colonial Williamsburg and did not even scratch the surface of what is there to be seen. We enjoyed touring the Govenor's Palace and marveled at the array of swords and muskets dispalyed on the walls. The price of ...

Any world leader that runs a government with more of a focus on special interest groups and passing legislation that serves their campaign contributors is being both selfish and short-sighted.
The idea of leading a country and its people by example seems to have been forgotten with other priorities taking its place. While I realize it is important to insu...

More to the point, and as the reason for the title of this Blog entry, Paris Hilton's tribulations are not "general" news and should be confined (along with everything her) to "E!" entertainment television, friggin' "Extra Extra" or my long loved "Entertainment Tonight"! I do not want to...
