Reflections
Change & Forgiveness
Mon, June 30, 2008 - 7:07 PMJust as the same object viewed form many perspectives can be seen completely differently, life is a series of mirrors that reflect the state of one’s innermost Being. Colored by the screen of perception, the same exact situation we are facing today might appear quite different tomorrow. Lately I have been faced with so many internal challenges, it would take a book to describe them all. And there is no need to do that because all it really takes to make a real change is to go directly to the root rather than to try to fix every single offshoot and branch.
Forgiveness is a noble virtue. I have heard and read about forgiveness for years but it did not “hit me” until just recently. Amazingly enough, I began noticing that forgiveness presented itself as the ultimate choice once I have exhausted all other options for moving though issues. Feeling as if on the edge of total despair or the ultimate release, I noticed that I chose the path of forgiveness more and more all the while watching my resistance towards the situation at hand melt away like beeswax next to a flame. The more it happened (about 50 times a day lately!) the more joy surfaced seemingly out of nowhere.
It is hard to describe this process in simple terms as it is so profoundly deep and yet so simple and freeing. I can now see how my judgment used to really imprison my mind and trap my energy. What was the use, I don’t know. I prefer to see it as an acquired habit of humanness. Now, finally automatically I forgive myself and others whenever a judgment arises where someone or something, including myself, does not meet my expectations. And the next moment there is emptiness, the long awaited space where freshness, love and joy of the Universe arise in grace.
Boundless, limitless, eternal
Amazing!
Making room for change
Getting out of the way
Obstacles disappear faster
The world transforms.
PS. I am reading the new book by Paolo Coelho titled “Brida” where the qualities of the feminine and masculine energies are beautifully described. Masculine energy is told to be the one that holds all knowledge of the Universe. Feminine energy is transformative energy. Where knowledge and transformation meet, wisdom is born…
