So last night I got a call that said my 6 am flight to Atlanta had been cancelled. I rescheduled for a 6:25 flight connecting in Memphis, went to bed, woke up at 5, got dressed, called a cab. Cab got me here at 5:15. Got at the end of a very long line of tired looking people.........overhear that the 6 am Atlanta flight has been re-opened..... So I wait in line for an hour ---just long enough to finally get to the front and to have them tell me that the Atlanta flight has left and the Memphis flight has been cancelled. They rescheduled me for a 12:25 flight connecting in DALLLAS, putting me in Atlanta at 7 pm tonight (IF I don't get to Dallas only to have the Atlanta flight cancelled and my you-know-what sent back to Lafayette). Long story short, I am still here. BUT...I had a pancake taco this morning. That's right....a PAN.....CAKE...TACO!! I met this little girl named Caroline about a month ago --it's my friend Christine's daughter --and we had a LOT in common. We both speak French and Spanish, both play the ukulele, and are both taking our first hip hop class. So I knew this little girl was cool, but when she told me about her invention, the PANCAKE TACO, I knew she was a genius. She simply told me that when you're eating your Saturday morning breakfast you should put your eggs and bacon inside of your pancake, fold it in half, and then BAM....pancake taco. I've been waiting for the right opportunity, and finally it presented itself at the airport's La Petite Cajun Café (as much as it bothers me that it should be "Le Petit Cajun Café," or really if we want to be technical "Le Petit Café Cadien." But I'm a snob). Anyhow, I can check the 'pancake taco' off my bucket list, and move on to the Indian Taco --but this deserves it's own blog entry.
