the other night i was playing belle and sebastion at work, and my 80y.o. coworker (betty jane) walks by and asks, in her texas accent, "what's this elevator music?sounds tinny." I followed my immediate instinct, which was to play(loud) The Locust (grindcore/mathrock, anyone?). then my more diplomatic side won me over and i put on slidecamp (which in my perfect world, is elevator music). when the room was quiet and bj could hear it, she said, in her texas accent, "now this is more to my liking." i told her my friends made this and she said "oh yeah? it's good. i like the space noises."


i was able to stifle wild squealing
