Dear Diary...

My....pants.....are.....so.....tight!

And it should be the other way around. Damnit. After living in either sweatpants or business attire for the past 6 months, I bought 3 new pairs of jeans online a few weeks ago. After waiting oh so patiently for them to come, I get them two days ago, and they are so. fucking. tight.

I managed to squeeze into one pair but the other two, its just not happening. I know, I know, buying online, right? But I've bought jeans from Victoria's Secret before and (thought) I knew my size. I'd been so looking forward to having some pants to wear. To not have to be either creative or uncomfortable all day in my clothes, to be able to just PUT ON my goddamn clothes in the morning without a fuss. I had the cutest pair of black heels and a pink and black houndstooth jacket to go with my straight leg jeans that now refuse to fit, after all my preparation.

I stood there, waistband in hand, with 3 inches of my spare tire in between the button hole and the button of my fly, and burst into tears. Ridiculous, yes? But I've been working so hard at the gym, and I worked hard to earn that money, and I can never find jeans in my size, and......yeah. I have been going to the gym for 2 months exactly yesterday. I do atleast 30 minutes of cardio at LEAST 3 times a week, usually I up it to an hour and go 4 days. But results are not coming as quick as I want them to. I have avoided the scale, just relying on visual results, and I've seen a lot of toning and some slimming, but my stomach refuses to budge. Let me rephrase that, my stomach is slimming, all but for this one section that has formed into a perfect inner tube now being magnified by my weight loss in the surrounding areas. *sigh*

I used to say that I would probably look disgusting as a size 6 at my height, but honestly, it would be nice to be able to walk in any store I want and actually find what I like in my size.

I'm with ya, girlie. It took me 6 months of an hour six days a week and no more than four bites at a meal before I even began to see a difference. and that muffin top was the last thing to go. had to lose the boobs first.

but you're gorgeous! and healthier than ever! and you love love love to work out! and you feel great, right? exchange them for ones that fit, and know that you look amazing, no matter what the numbers say.

As the wise and awesome Sir Mix a Lot said: You can do side bends or sit ups, but please dont lose that butt.

My sister wrestled with this for some time, gyms and blah blah blah. Her end solution was to get me to do 50 sit ups at night with her, and 50 sit ups in the morning. Eventually she was up to 100 I think, every night and every morning, and it toned her down fast. Also, avoid eating about 3 hours before you go to bed - eat normal (healthy of course) all day, but avoid the later evening dinners and snacks. Your metabolism slows down a whole lot before and while you sleep. Just stick with water and such at night.
