A new love in my life..

Well its officially official. I never thought I would ever say this but... I have a new love. I tried to resist the temptation, though i just well, i just gave in, to tell you the truth. I picked it up, strummed the strings, over- exaggerated its notes and I am now totally and offically hooked on... Guitar Hero!! Never thought i would ever admit to it. Never thought i would actually give in, though now i am 101% addicted.. it is a bitter sweet love affair.. i guess sometimes these types of relationships take time to fade away.. I will let you know when that time comes for me, until then... rock on ;o)!!

Cricket

So since wednesday an almost no-stop chirping cricket has been chirping inside our water heater closet. I was nervous to turn on the hot water because i did not want to burn the little guy, but it doesnt seem like it is inside the water heater because we have run the hot water and he still is chirping away. He seems to chirp mostly between 4 am and 10 am. I understand that in asian cultures crickets are considered to be a sign of good luck, though i am honestly starting to go a little koo-koo LOL!!! It has been 5 days, 5 very long days.....!!! I am surprised it has survived this long, though i guess there life span is about 3 weeks and the hotter the area they are in the more they chirp... I wish i knew what kind of special treats they liked best. Does anyone know how to lure a cricket? If so i would love to hear about it... many blessings... Bala

For the last three days I cannot seem to get the melody of this beautiful bhajan out of my mind. Wish I could play it for all of you so you could here its melody. Felt to post the words, they are very humbling to my heart. I am in great misery, O Lord. How am I to worship You? I know no proper manner in which to worship You. It is your effulgence that illumines the universe; it is You who shines through the sun, the moon and the stars. What terrible ignorance would it be for me to light a lamp before You? You give life to the fruits and flowers in this world and You give sweetness to their fragrance. How than can I offer You unto Yourself? You are in every drop of the great expanses of water. Would it not show disrespect to call You with a mere ringing of bells? Your limbs, chest, forehead and torso are all beyond my range of perception; such is my agony that I know not where to apply the sandalwood paste.

Om Amriteshwaryai Namah While on amritapuri.org at a little past midnight, to my surprise their was a picture of my son sitting on Amma's lap as a baby. I had never seen this picture before. The most amazing part of all of this is that today just so happens to be his birthday. I could not help but cry...Her Prasad is endless.... She is so omnicient!!!
