Trailing thought from an overheard conversation.

Not too long ago I found myself in a waiting room with some other people. Oh the conversations you can hear when you are patiently reading a story on Ayurvedic healing in the homeland. So as I am sitting there I hear this kid talking to his sister? about how his grades are slipping because he's too busy focusing on something else while he's in school. It turns out he is getting an F in his native tongue, English, and has the same outlook a good majority of students have in this country: I speak the language fine, why do I need to take English? As I sat there and pondered this question, as I have done so many times before, I expanded some on the answer that I wish would have been passed on to me at a young age: Language is majyck. I wanted to share this revelation with this kid. I wanted to open his eyes to the realization that through this wonderment of language he can open any door that he may find. I wanted... to not be looked at like I was some crazy person in a waiting room full of other crazy people. So I bit my tongue, got out some paper and jotted this down for those who may stumble upon it:

The elegance of language is the possibility that it presents to the individual by effectively creating a desired change in the perceived reality of the group. The change becomes manifest by the clear conversion of thought into vibrational energy which is absorbed by all surrounding material establishing a resounding resonance. All living organisms act as an amplifier, rebroadcasting the vibrations that they choose to surround themselves with. Being aware of the vibration that ones' self resonates allows that one the ability to attract a desired energy field, thus more acutely amplifying the desires that one has expressed through the delicate and exacting science of language.

Most essentially, language is the artistry of co-creating existence as dreams are manifest.

If you know any younger children that seem to be struggling with the why in the necessity of their native tongue being taught to them maybe this is an exploratory way to lift the veil of boring classwork and mindless repetition. This is also a great way for those interested in linguistics to further solidify their desire to learn other languages. To learn additional languages is to learn to more effectively convert archetypal thought, emotion and concept into a clearly communicated shared understanding.

Entheon: Abundance - Sweet fundraiser turned sour

First and foremost I feel it is necessary to make clear my relationship to Entheon Village: I am a supporter. I am not a promoter, I am not an artist, I am not in any way legally or financially bound to those that call themselves Entheon Village. The following should not be taken as a statement by the group who is Entheon Village.

Many of you are aware of the unpleasant ending of what was scheduled to be a wonderful evening. The space was filled with wonderful energy. Friends and family had been preparing the building for the entire week. Promoters had booked artists months prior. Others were secretly making plans too.

An event like this has its benefits and its drawbacks. It does not take place at a "club" where loud music, alcohol, and hundreds of people gather regularly to spend and make money. It is not funded by a single or small group of people with financiers backing them with the intention of a lifetime of money being made. It does not have Globetrotting Dj's regularly coming to attracts the hordes of sheep who just want to have a good time at whatever cost. Venues, like the warehouse we found ourselves at, are not guaranteed and often times the venue is changed at a last minute due to a small detail or two. Lots of people get left out because they don't get the notice.

An event like this is put together by artists and promoters with the intention of moving forward into a collective global consciousness. It is accomplished with the (often) thankless effort of a lot of people who do it for the love of the community, the love of the people, and the love of the art.

There were many disappointments Saturday night. Over 500 people were told to go home - many not in a condition to safely drive the vehicle that they traveled in. Their safe spot was abruptly disturbed. Over 500 more were expected to come! They were not allowed to even glimpse at the hard work that was put forth for their enjoyment. The promoters had to get up in front of everyone and inform the crowd that they had failed in one way or another. Can you imagine how scary and embarrassing that would be? Even the police, in their glory of telling everyone to leave, felt a sense of failure. There was no panic, no screaming and yelling, no outbursts of refusal. No one gave the police any reason to do anything more than stand there and be Authority. As far as I know no-one was searched, arrested, or otherwise held against their will. This is truly amazing!

I cannot apologize for Entheon Village in the way that some feel is necessary. I can apologize for not helping more. I can apologize for not taking a more active role and lifting some of the weight from the shoulders of those that put this wonderful (and it was wonderful for the entire time it was allowed to proceed!) evening together for us. I sincerely apologize for not helping to lift the enormous weight of responsibility that Entheon Village is.

If you showed up between the hours of 8:30 and 10:30 you probably met me. My name is Tom and my wife Erin and I were volunteering at the front door. I am the tall guy with long hair and she has long golden dreadlocks. What we are asking is for you to donate some funds to help offset the enormous cost of putting together an event that was not allowed to go on for more than a couple hours. From what I have gathered, the expense of this event was laid mostly on the person who had the responsibility of relaying the message from the police. Her name is Liz Campanella and she worked very hard putting together this and the last three Entheon events! Due to the weight that is on her right now, and the time of the year it is, I am asking everyone who receives this message to get together and help!

Wonderful weekend, perfect ending.

After a beautiful weekend singing and dancing with friends new and known we journeyed home.

As everyone knows, traffic sucked.

And out of everything bad there is something good.

5, yes 5 rainbows on the drive from Wisconsin to Chicago. Three were full, across the sky rainbows, one was just a leg coming out of the top of the sears tower extending partially into the clouds, and the other was a leg from ground to cloud.

Thank you to everyone who made this weekend possible, to all the friends that made the long tiring journey, and to all the mystical aligners of energy, all of which without this weekend would not have been possible.

ENTHEON! Positive Energy Flow

First I just wanted to thank everyone who decided to make this event change from thought to realization. The task at hand of devising such an atmosphere takes alot of thought, energy, desire, and capability. Thank you for all the work that has brought you to the abilities you have today.

Second - I have been rather sick lately. Coughing all day and night, as has Erin. This space we created was SO full of positive, healing energy. During the entire event I was so overcome with the environment that my body did not hurt - No coughing, wheezing, or otherwise feeling bad. It is amazing to come to the awareness that the world we live in is so full of negativity that we can sometimes barely live well. To create a space filled with minds focused on creativity, positivity, and most importantly - healing of mind, body, soul, community and culture, and world. I came home and started coughing - bringing the energy with as far and long as I could. I am feeling much better than I had been before.

Resonate!

I just wanted to thank everyone who helped put this party together! What an excellent night of music and friends, emotions and art. I had the opportunity to connect with a huge number of people who think and feel about life the same way I do, and I appreciate every single one of you!
