</a>
										<div>Well...we finally are doing it. In fact it has been happening all this week. We have been moving boxes into our new place. And this place is just across the bridge from PDX in Vancouver, off of 164th!

We found a 3 bedroom/ 2 1/2 bath house, with a huge deck on the second story, a huge lot with an oak, a ceder and a spruce tree and the lot is surrounded by arbor vitae *sp* and lots and lots of plants. It has a fenced off area for a garden, a big 2 car garage, a huge-ass bonus room, downstairs...and...and...=)

It is also only 4 blocks from Mountain View High School. One of the best schools in the state. Rated a 9 out of 10! Our Josh will be starting his Freshman year here! The neighborhood is ultra suburbia, and is actually an upgrade from where we were before.

So YEAH! We are just across the river now and can start deepening the friendships that we have created with so many of you, the last few years. I can attend a weekly event and stay a few hours and still be close to home! And yes, I hope that friends will come over and hang with us, too!!

Our big move is this coming Saturday, the 9th...

We are all very excited!

Next stage of life...activate!

    </a>
										<div>If you may have been wondering where the hell I’ve been the last month or so…I started a new job, just before Christmas. I am still doing deliveries, but I went from working for a nickel and dime operation to working for a professional company with hundreds of contractors. It is EMS/California Overnight Delivery. I am basically the equivalent of the UPS guy. I have a set route and deliver to businesses and homes and use one of those fancy, schmancy scanners that you sign electronically.

When I first started, my route was Hillsboro, Cornelius and Forest Grove. Piece of cake. It was taking me about 3 hours to finish, so the Master Contractor that I work through *I am a Subcontractor* offered me another route, delivering in Beavertron.

I was still learning where the places were, so it was taking me longer than it normally would take for the route, and this would have been all fine and dandy, but then the weather started to become a little less than desirable for driving conditions and our trucks that were delivering to our warehouse for distribution started becoming 4-5 hours late.

I was leave my house around 6:30am. It was taking me well over an hour to make the icy commute to Vancouver. I would get there and sort what was there and have to wait for the truck for 3 more hours, then sort what came in off of it, then slowly make my way to Beaverton to start my route. I wasn’t even getting there until between 11:00 and 11:30am. Most of the offices aren’t open past 5pm, so whatever wasn’t delivered, I would have to attempt to deliver it the next day. There were still some places that could be delivered to *private residences*, and so I was ending what I could get done of my route, out in Forest Grove, after 6pm. Then I would slowly make my way back to Vancouver, which was a one hour commute *even taking the back way*, then another 45 minutes north, to Longview. I was getting home around 8pm, every night.

After the 4th day in a row of the delivery truck being late, it was really starting to wear on my nerves. I was wondering what in the hell I had got myself into. This wasn’t a life. And it really made me afraid that it was not going to get any better.

What got me through this is the guy I work for. He is one hell of a great guy. Not like the last prick that I worked for. This guy was a driver himself for over 10 years and understands what it’s like out there. He kept promising me that he had never seen it like this and that it wasn’t normally like this at all. And he was really appreciative of me and thanked me for doing a great job in spite of the weather. He also paid me more for the extra time I was putting in…wow…what a concept!

Two of the major problems I was dealing with were one: not knowing the route. I was having to search out these places. And two: traffic! After 3pm, the west side of Portland turns into a cluster of fucko’s that haven’t a clue how to drive. And they multiply by the thousands…

As of last Friday, I did one thing that was going to help me immensely, I bought a GPS. I program in the addresses and it talks me to the front door. That alone gave me some hope. Then, this last Monday, the loads started to get lighter and the trucks were only a couple of hours late. I was getting out earlier and that combined with my GPS was allowing me to complete my routes by 5pm. But I am still having to contend with rush hour traffic, thus a 2 hour commute home.

By Friday though, I was actually done by 3:45pm, both routes!!! Whoo-Hoo!!! I still didn’t get home until 6pm, but what a feeling of accomplishment!!!

Another side benefit of this job is that I am also doing deliveries for Staples office products *worked into my other routes* and deliver 50lb boxes of paper *sometimes up to 16 of them* to various corporations. So while loading them, unloading them and delivering them into the buildings, I have been getting a major workout!!! It also added to my really rough weeks, as I was out of shape! But I have dropped a good 15lbs in the last 3 weeks and am starting to get stronger. I told Cheryl that by summer time, I should look pretty damned good!!! =)

So…yeah…that is what has been going on with me as of late. If I have not responded to your message or phone call, please bear with me and I will be getting back to you! I have just been so exhausted that I would come home, eat dinner and after about an hour, pass out and do it all again the next morning….BUT…it IS getting better and in the next 6 months, when we finally start our move to Vancouver, that extra hour drive home will not exist any more and life will start to become so much more live-able!

I was really bummed to miss out on a great friends going away party…I was just too pooped and was asleep by 10pm on Friday…I love you Greg and am so very glad for your happiness and finding of Love!!

I love you all and miss you dearly!

    </a>
										<div>Well...we have made a monumental decision on this day. Cheryl and I deeply and rationally discussed our living situation here in Longview. Here are the things we discussed:

I am putting on 2000 miles per month, just driving back and forth to work, and spending two hours a day, just to get home through Portland traffic. That is a lot of wear and tear on our vehicle, not to mention the gas...

All of our friends and everything that we do exist in Portland, or south of Portland.

We have over $60,000 equity in our home.

Our son will be ending Eighth Grade and will be starting High School next year.

The only thing that was preventing us from moving south was having our son leave all of his friends that he has had since he started Kindergarten.

We had a talk with him today and asked him what he would think of us moving to Vancouver *Washington*. He said he would like that!!!

I can still come up on the weekends and let him visit his friends or bring them back down there with us for the weekend, and he and they will be driving in the next two years, anyways, so he did not have an issue with it at all....

This means that we are actually going doing something that we have talked about for the last 5 years...We are not actually moving into Portland, because I work in Vancouver and I don't want to have another big chunck of my pay taken out for Oregon taxes...

But we are going to be close enough to be able to start forming those closer relationships that we wished we could have, but the distance has always prevented!

We could actually come and spend a few hours at a weeknight event and not have to journey home for an hour afterward...wow...what would that be like? And as much as we've came and visited all of you...maybe you would actually come and visit us!!!!

We have some cosmetic work on our house to do before we put the for sale sign up. Plus Josh has another 5 months of school left....but we have made the decision as a family to do this and that is a reason for hope and celebration!!!!

Whoo-Hoo!!!!

Storybook Land revisited...

<a href="http://people.tribe.net/5c0e8504-6be3-4d1a-9adc-abae3f6af124/blog/6fb7175a-2be9-4df8-89cd-16cc32b0101f">  						          <img class=" picThumb" src="http://images.tribe.net/tribe/upload/photo/b7c/bde/b7cbde0e-e693-4417-96ca-e79b21b735f8.thumb" width="65" height="44" alt="" />
    </a>
										<div>I just woke up from the strangest dream. It was about a place that my mom used to take me when I was just a wee lad. It was called Storybook Land.

I was born in Somers Point, New Jersey. We lived about 3 miles from Atlantic City. This was before the casinos were installed on the Boardwalk. I actually learned to roller skate on the Boardwalk…

We moved out to Los Angeles when I was 5 years old, in the summer of 1971, but one of my most vivid, fond memories of my preschool days was our annual trip to Storybook Land.

There were all kinds of rides and themes, geared towards children. Everything from the 3 Little Pigs, to Alice in Wonderland, to Cinderella…I remember the scariest thing of the park was a Robber, that would stop the train that circled the park and “rob” it. I don’t remember the details, but for a toddler, it was quite scary…and from a different time.

I haven’t thought about Storybook Land for at least 30 some years, but for some reason, my subconscious decided to revisit it, this morning.

I dreamed that we *I have no idea who was with me* were back east and were revisiting all of the places where we had lived. As we got close to where Storybook Land was located, I was informed that it had closed a few years ago and was being leveled to make room for a strip mall.

We stopped at the property and there was an information booth that was giving out maps with the grids marked out as to what stores would be where. For some reason, I happened to be standing on section +2,-2. I looked on the map and there was going to be a Taco Bandito on that spot. I wondered if there was any correlation between the robber of the train and the restaurant and was so saddened by the loss of such a magical place for children…then I woke up.

I went online to see if my dream had become a reality; if Storybook Land was still there….and it IS! http://storybookland.com/parkmap.htm

It has been owned by the same family for 52 years and it looks like it is doing just fine…

Dreams are so bizarre…this one let me remember something magical from my childhood. I am glad it was not leveled to create a strip mall.

Here is a thought that has been running through my head for some time:

<a href="http://people.tribe.net/5c0e8504-6be3-4d1a-9adc-abae3f6af124/blog/0176e0fc-29df-45d4-b9b0-46a21a5b2bfd">  						          <img class=" picThumb" src="http://images.tribe.net/tribe/upload/photo/4c8/014/4c801421-5f4e-4162-bfd3-1692ed223524.thumb" width="65" height="52" alt="" />
    </a>
										<div>Automobiles have a suspension. A part of that suspension is a shock absorber. What does a shock absorber do?

*From Wikipedia*: A shock absorber in common parlance (or damper in technical use) is a mechanical device designed to smooth out or damp a sudden shock impulse and dissipate kinetic energy. It is analogous to a resistor in an electric RLC circuit.

It dissipates kinetic energy. Ok, what is kinetic energy?

*Again from Wikipedia*: The kinetic energy of an object is the extra energy which it possesses due to its motion.

If watches and flashlights can be powered by kinetic energy, why couldn’t we harness this energy that is being generated by the constant “shock” of the road on our vehicles and store it for utilization for additional power?

It may not be enough power to totally drive the vehicle, but in conjuntion with other power sources, it could help.

Another form of energy could be wind generated. Set up fans or turbine intakes in the front of the vehicle and as it drives down the road. And set them up in the cabin as exhaust fans *primarily in the summer* and ta-da free energy.

And what about the energy that the wheels generate. Just like a bike headlight is powered by the turning wheel, why not incorporate that, too…

I just watched a really cool show on the Science Channel and it got my wheels turning! *pun intended*

**After writing this, I went to find a picture of an electromagnetic shock and what do ya know…someone else had same thought and did something about it! http://peswiki.com/index.php/Directory:Power-Generating_Shock_Absorber#Official_Website

<div>Tribe, due to technology constraints, has gone to premium accounts. I am waiting for my funds added to paypal to clear so I can contribute and help them to upgrade their equipment so hopefully, there will be less down time.

They have said that they will still offer free services, and they do. It looks like those free services do not include being able to read or post to threads on any tribe. There are reviews only, that I can post or comment on. I can't even see any of the discussions.

How lovely...so for those of you who plan on not upgrading to the premium service, you will have email, invites and pictures to share, and you can post to reviews. </div>

										<div>Our daughter, Toni, is in her 2nd week at the Cinema Makeup School in Los Angeles. They are moving into the skull cap prosthetic area. Her teacher last week was saying that because of her hair, she was going to have a hard time when it came her turn to have the cap done with her partner.

This week, they have a substitute teacher. His name is Joe Podnar. He worked on How the Grinch Stole Christmas, The Nightmare on Elm Street series, The Bride of the Re-Animator and All of the 90’s-Enterprise, Star Trek Series.

Joe had a solution to Toni’s “big hair” dilemma…He is going to turn her into a Ferengi!!!

Stay tuned for the pix!

Cheryl and I have watched every episode of every Trek series, many, many times. I have Star Trek collectibles. Yes, we are Trekker’s!

We are thrilled!

    </a>
										<div>Well, we are back from L.A., and our daughter is now living as an adult in the big, big world. But, as most of you will see, she is getting a better start than most of us did. In fact, she has landed herself in one of the most luxurious apartments in L.A.

Check this out:  http://www.themedici.com/1/Los-Angeles-California-Apartments/

Originally, she was going to stay with a friend that lived about 10 miles of where she was going to go to school. Yeah...when we got there on Saturday, we found out that not only was it about an hours bus ride to get to school, but she was going to have to share a bedroom with 3 other young children. This just would not do at all.

So we checked out the area and waited until Monday to go see if the school could help us. We met with the girl we've been working with online and explained our situation. She says that we are not going to believe this, but a lady just came in and let her know that her daughter was going to have to withdraw from school, due to a health problem, and that her apartment had a 6 month lease that was paid already, but for a $1000 per month, the lady would take an $800 cut and give someone in the school an opportunity to live in an incredible place...

We went online and looked at the place...HOLY SHIT!!! Here ya go: http://www.themedici.com/1/Los-Angeles-California-Apartments/

The girl that was helping us said that she might know of someone who was looking for a roomate. We went down to the class she was in, met her and then showed her the place. She said...um, hell yes!!! So for $500 per month, out Toni is getting to stay in an $1800 per month apartment while she goes to school!!!

Not only does the place have two swimming pools, a full gym, saunas, hot tubs, a library, a private park with tennis courts, beach vollyball and gas bbq's that you have to cross a bridge from the complex to get to...it is only three blocks from the L.A. Metro, subway system. The route that she would need, only goes from this stop to a station that is across the street from Toni's school!!! So it takes her 9 minutes to get to school!!!

We spent 3 more days with her than we had planned, but when we left and started to head toward home, we knew that she was safe and had every opportunity to succeed!!!! We had prepared her for everything that life could throw at her, but L.A. is quite a different city than Portland and she was getting a definate culture shock and needed some extra guidance. We are so very glad that we sacrificed the time and $$ to go down there with her. We cannot imagine how she would have made it, otherwise.

She starts her classes on Monday and will be getting some of the most cool training on the planet, if you ask me. She is taking the Master's Program at the L.A. Cinema Makeup School. http://www.cinemamakeup.com/index.html

So now Cheryl and I are home and glad to be back, even with the cold. *it averaged 75 degrees while we were down there* The palm trees were cool for about a day or two, then we were missing our evergreens of the Northwest in a big way. It really made us realize how beautiful the land is here in our own backyard...=)

    </a>
										<div>I stumbled upon this today, while sitting here with nothing but time on my hands...

The F Word

Jed Weintrob's second feature film, is a fiction/documentary hybrid about Joe Pace, a radio talk show host whose program, The F Word, is being shut down by the F.C.C. after racking up over $1 million in unpaid indecency fines. On his last day on the air, which coincides with the last day of the Republican National Convention, Joe sets off to broadcast his own one-man march through Manhattan.
Combining fictional scenes set among actual protests with documentary footage of people Joe meets along the way, Weintrob weaves together a seamless narrative. It's often impossible to tell the difference between fiction and reality.

Josh Hamilton stars along with Edoardo Ballerini, Zak Orth, Sam Rockwell, Callie Thorne and others, including many leaders of the protest movement: Reverend Billy, Peter Camejo, John Perry Barlow, etc. The F Word is a true, guerilla-style indie(non-profit, blood, sweat and tears), offering an innovative political portrait of 21st century New York City and the current threat to free speech in America.

Here are the play dates on IFC for this: http://ifc.bside.com/schedule/?_view=_filmdetails&amp;_template=ifc&amp;filmId=4752560&amp;timezone=America/New_York

    </a>
										<div>There are 3 things that continually fill my junk mail inbox: Cheap Rolex watches, Viagra, and my bigger penis is only a click away....

WTF? I literally get 5 to 7 Rolex solicitations every few hours. Do I really need one that badly??? The Viagra is in abundance, and I am getting older...It's good to know that when I someday need it, it will be there for me. And my penis must be needing some major attention, as it just must not be measuring up.

How do they know this? I haven't posted any pix of it. Now I never may...=P It just wouldn't measure up to the donkey sized tools that the rest of the world must be sporting, thanks to these modern miracles of science.

But on a better note, there are hundreds upon hundreds of hot, willing girls that are just waiting for me to pick up the phone and party with...I just turn on my t.v. after 7pm and there is my passport to bliss...all I have to do is call...

Maybe they are old fashioned and don't like over achievers in the penile department.

Just a few things that make me go, hmm...</div>

    </a>
										<div>Tonight I was outside, looking through my telescope at the bright-ass planets and the moon in the night sky. The moon looked incredible, with some great contrast.

Then I moved to the bright, shiny planet that was to the right of the moon in the western sky. As I zoomed in, I actually saw the rings of Saturn!!! What a thrill!

I then panned south and looked at the other brightest object in the sky. I could see 4 moons in a line around it. I showed them to Cheryl and then came in to find out what planet had 4 moons. I originally thought that it was Venus, but Venus doesn't show until morning, nor does it have moons. I came in and pulled up what was I was looking at @ "Starry Night, online* http://www.space.com and found out that it is Jupiter! It actually has 7 moons, but I could only see four of them.

I have always been a night sky watching fool, so having a good telescope has really been giving me some joy! Best yard sale purchase I ever made!! Now I am going to have to buy more powerful lenses. I wanna see more!!!

    </a>
										<div>I am truly amazed at how the peaks and valleys of life can either be a hindrance or a blessing.

It is all about perspective. I am learning to step back and instead of trying to force my will on the outcome, to just stop…breath deeply and concentrate on peace and love.

It seems like the Universe is in sync with this, as all of the peaks and valleys are becoming more like rolling hills…with small obstacles that are not preventing the forward movement of my soul…

This movement seems to not only residing with me. It is as if the fog that has been hovering over our entire planet’s evolution is being lifted and everyone that I have talked with has been feeling the same way. They are starting to awaken, as if in a deep slumber. After a very rough winter, they are moving forward, again.

There are some who believe that because we are human beings, that we are in denial and in dualistic traps that are holding us back, but if they would step out of the box and look at what is really occurring, they would see that we ARE ready to take the next step forward. If questioning the status quo, and acknowledging of our fears is letting us see who and what we are, and what we would like to see change in our lives to better enrich them, then I see hope for our future. The first step to overcoming any obstacle is to first identify it. Eyes are opening. We are no longer content to be sheep in the pasture...We are waking up.

Without darkness, we could not see the light. We may see light without it, but its value wouldn’t be as recognizable or precious to us. If we learn and grow from the dark times, and keep Love at the forefront of our thoughts, a future with Love and mutual support as its guide can become a Utopia for mankind.

No, it is not going to happen overnight…it is a process of evolution. Otherwise, it would be a shift, like a light switch. I don’t believe that this is the way it will occur. Everyone is at a different stage in their evolution. It may come to a point where a shift does occur, when enough lives are enlightened, but even then, we will still be growing and evolving towards the next stage…it never stops, but continues to move forward…evolving.

If this last weekend’s event that I attended is any indication of the future to come, we are very much back on track again to the way of light and happiness…to see so many smiling faces having fun for an ENTIRE event and through to the next evening, following it, was so rewarding and welcome! Connections were made, energy shared and love abounded…the very reason I fell in love with this community in the first place. I have missed that, so very much!

There are so many ways to go with the evolutionary process, but this one is working for me at this time…

=)

										<div>In Iraq, car bombs are exploding and killing the innocent.
Training and recruitment for suicide runs continue.
Homes and communities are in ruin, families are being blown apart.
Schools in session are the fallout of rocket shrapnel and children continue to suffer.
Clean water and food is hard to find.
Depression and Opression are on an all time high.

Today's news gives 20 seconds of recognition for today's death count and the horror of Iraq's nightmare.
Today's news gives 5 minutes to the Father of Anna Nichole's baby.
Today's news give an entire segment to Martha Stewart.
Sangia's performance on American Idol makes the top headline on Yahoo

744,000 people are homeless...not in Iraq, but in America.
37 million people *1 in 8* are living in poverty in America.

$407,324,498,599 is the cost, as of the second that I cut and pasted this, of the war. Go to: http://nationalpriorities.org/index.php?option=com_wrapper&amp;Itemid=182 and see something that will truly make you sick. It is ticking at about a $1000 per every half second...

There are 301,586,374 U.S. citizens.

$407,324,498,599 divided by 301,586,374 U.S. citizens, would make everyone in this country incredibly rich beyond their wildest dreams...you do the math...

Instead, the rest of us, not just those who are homeless, continue to struggle to make ends meet. And two countries *Iraq and the U.S.* that didn't ask for any of this are being torn to shreds as the "War on Terror" continues.

Makes you go hmm...</div>

										<div>To all of my 1derful friends,

This last weekend, I attended my first non-psytrance party *where no psy was played*, in over a year. I reunited with friends and family that I have not seen in quite some time. I had forgotten what beautiful souls you are and I didn’t realize how much I missed you, until I was in your presence. Thank you for so much for your love and warmth…it makes me all fuzzy and glowing, inside!

My body also remembered how to dance, as opposed to stomping! =) It felt so good to kick it with all of you who where there. There were so many others that I missed though and I want this year to be a year where we all reconnect. Jon and Emmy did a great job of trying to accomplish this and for that, I thank them both.

Thank you again Jon for taking the extra effort and sending me a personal invite. I get many invites to attend a lot of events, but the personal touch of love, is what called me to step out of my routine. Thank you, my brother!

Much love!
