I started my dance experience many moons ago looking for a fun form of exercise. After toiling over which glute to squeeze at just the right time with the Nawar Tribe, I now perform as a principle member of the Purple Roses of Cairo and a founding member of the Tribal Roses. I have performed, competed, and celebrated with both troupes over the years. I have been with both troupes as both brought home top placing awards. As the sole instructor for the Daughters of Dahlal Children’s Troupe, my brain and body find it to be the most challenging but the most rewarding effort to this day. I've performed in large stage productions such as the Tulsa Performing Arts Center Summer Stage series as well as smaller scale stages around the local area.

“I love to watch the dance. If a dancer is into their zone, it’s an experience for all who are watching. Suhaila Salimpour, Rachel Brice and my mentor and friend, Shadia Dahlal; these women take the stage and lose themselves in the music and what the audience gets is magic. I hope to one day attain even a portion of that bliss that is seen in their faces as they dance.”
