The men in white coats have taken it upon themselves to investigate what happens in your brain when she rakes her nails across your back. Dermatologist Dr. Gil Yosipovitch was apparently up all night at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center wondering what happens in your brain during a good scratching and put 13 people in an MRI machine and then scratched their lower legs with a small, soft brush at 30-second intervals for five minutes.

I absolutely adore Monika. When I was all alone and anxious in a hotel in San Francisco, about to go work on a cruise ship, she took the subway and a bus (took her a couple hours, I think) to come and hang out with me. She is that thoughtful and that wonderful.
That was the first time we hung out and I know it won't be the last. Her sweetness, kind soul and free spirit would be inspiring to anyone. I feel privelaged to call Monika my friend and I can't wait til our paths cross again. February 29, 2004
