Two of my goth friends recently took up bellydancing, so to celebrate/induct them into the Cult of Bling (TM) I decided to make them each a corset belt. The above shot is a detail of one of the front panels of a Steampunk themed belt I did for my friend Libby. I made the belt base of a sturdy cotton duck and embellished each panel with hand-painted copper stencils that I designed in Illustrator. After spending the past 2 weeks solid cramming to get video shot and edited (it's crappy, but I feel really accomplished for having churned anything out of Final Cut Pro that works)... and get photo documentation of me in one of my outfits...and build an installation of snap tape...I feel pretty good about how it came out.
