I finally got an industrial sewing machine!!! I've been dreaming of this for over 10 years! It came in last week, then I had to go back because it was missing the belt that connects the machine to the motor and now it's all set up and ready to go! Oh my goodness, it gets me all excited just thinking about all the stuff I'm going to make! You should see me work fabric through this baby... Mmmm...

Umm, anyway, I have had folks asking if I could do some costuming and I just wanted to let you know I'm absolutely ready! If you haven't talked to me yet but are interested, I would love to work for you too! I make costumes, clothes and do general alterations. Call me or contact me through tribes or at chaps@incendiarycircus.org and we'll work it out!

My newest passion! I've been taking lessons for a little over a month and I love it! Flamenco's been an interest of mine for a while, but I hadn't made time for it until recently. I've been bellydancing for a long time so I knew (or over-confidently thought) that I would be familiar with some of the arm movements and postures, but I wasn't prepared for the footwork (and dancing in heels). And then, I have to do these taps and stomps with my feet and do arm and hand gestures and keep your posture looking nice, don't tilt the head and don't wiggle anything else and don't fall over and above all, don't step on your own toe! Whew! I'm so excited! Now I need to think up dance costume ideas... Do you think rubber or fur would work?
