about me
A carpenter into natural building and landscape beautification. Never felt at home more than on the Big Island. Love traveling, try to leave the U.S. regularly to regain perspective and learn more about myself and the world. Gardening and growing my own food fuels my love of life, organic goodness is what I thrive on. Dancing and celebrating with good friends is imperative to my survival. Music provides the soundtrack to life for me. In the midst of major emotional growth spurt , witnessing my personal evolution jump way ahead, feeling very empowered to create what I want. Learning so much from the people in my life, so appreciative of my continually cultivated awareness and where it is taking me.

My Blog

What a whirlwind of 5 weeks it's been. Coming to Tokyo has been such a valuable journey. To decide to take a risk, leave all my friends and loved ones, new evolving relationship, pets, land, and the Island itself was challenging. But it felt right the entire time. I came here, was welcomed by Nik and Yukiko into their home, given my own little space and all the info I needed to get settled in and pursue some work in modeling. Well it turned out the visa situation was not that easily over... read more

Community is such a nourishing act. I am fortunate to be having this experience quite often lately. This short week in SF has been fantastic. Meeting new, friendly, generous seekers of our shared passions. I am truly blessed to have the resources and desire to meet new people and share time with like minded, fun hoopers. What great weather, nice grass (on the ground), and good vibes there was this week. A reassurance that the path I am on is the right one, and continually supported, all... read more

Well, I just went food shopping and had fun deciphering what all I was buying just by the looks of things. Can't read any labels. This is just one of the fun new aspects of Life In Tokyo. Learning the rail system, how to ask for directions, read the maps, getting my bearings in the neighborhood I am living. So much to learn. I am doing my Japanese lesson everyday, and starting tonight, will be learning Hiragana and Katakana, the written language. A whole new alphabet! Hasn't been since... read more

I am sitting here in my octagon, lovely sunny morning, the puppies are running around making all sorts of cute noises, I have good tunes on, and am sipping some sweet mate. Work is going great, finishing up this project and gearing up for the next. Some good friends just returned to the island, and it has finally rained and filled our catchments. My greens starts are peeking their heads up and looking for the sun. The Lychee are hanging heavy, and my Lychee/Kombucha wine is bubbling away.... read more

So I have added most of the walls, got the kitchen installed, and have hot, running water! I have been sleeping in the cabin for 1.5 weeks, and boy do I sleep well! It feels so great to be making "home", finally. One of my favorite things to do. And I think I am good at it too. I am building more shelving today for my fermentation corner. Already had a few friends over for popcorn and that was nice. All my fotos are coming out of the plastic bins that have been their home for years now... read more
