Roxanne, I am a lazy ass friend....no excuses for not writing this sooner. So! let's get girlie-schmoopy!!!
A long time ago, in a Friendster kingdom far, far, away someone once called me a "Disney princess".....Well paybacks are here.....backatcha hunny!
I love my dear friend Roxanne! I do !!!! She has been a force in my world for a few years, or more, now.
She has the wickedest sense of humour, a gorgeous voice, and her mind is deeply thoughtful. She sews like the wind. Decorates with panache. Serves a lovely cuppa tea. Directs a mean show....and... She commands respect from those who know her. Brilliant of mind, generous and giving of heart. You are a connection to my soul, my friend.
Roxanne, I admire that you speak your heart, and your mind with fairness, you reason without judging. You constantly work to create something better....whatever that better will be. I admire your beauty inside and outside...... you shine brightly to me.

Sometimes beauty can surprise you.
It can be a woman of substance, proud, powerful, vulnerable yet with an inner strength that is almost Valkyrie like....
It can be a voice that is pure, clear like the sound of that perfect twilight moment.
It can be a soul that looks into the abyss and says "Ah to hell with it...time to fight.....it's a good day to do battle for what is right.
It can be a gentle friend who sits, listens, doesn't pull punches and still has a way of making you laugh at the stupidity of it all.
It can be that moment of funny that was delivered with the perfect timing, a hint of Rosalind Russel, a dash of Carol Burnett and just a smidge of Gilda Radner thrown in for good measure...
It can be all those things...and if it is, it is Roxanne.

So, my musical group Serenata has just released its new CD. We work very hard at finding real period music and then finding fun ways to perform it. We have a small and loyal following. We don't get the crowds or noteriety that other groups like the Poxy Boggards or Merry Wives get.
