Bebe is one of the single-most amazing animals I've ever met. She is always in a good mood and always having fun; she inspires me to take more cues from her. I am so, so lucky to have her in my life.

I recently auditioned a number of animals for an upcoming article on animal talent in the Bay Area, and as soon as I stepped in Bebe's studio I knew she was something special. She immediately commanded the stage (er, cage) with her gorgeous plume and diva attitude. She cocked her head, eyeing me carefully, and whistled...what a flirt! Was she trying to bypass an audition and head straight for the casting couch? I was suspicious. But no, as soon as the house music was cued, she busted some moves, whipping herself into a trance-like frenzy. What amazing energy. "Step up, step up, step up!" she cried. "Hello!!" Her partner Max could only look on, mute, completely overcome by this display. Was he jealous? Well, Max, Bebe's gonna take on the world, so you better enjoy your feeding sessions while they last. Bebe, knowing she aced the audition, walked back to her perch and stood on one leg. As I left, she confidently croaked "Bye, bye." What a bird.
