Tragedy struck my hometown in Currituck County NC when we lost one of the brightest stars, Ethan. He was killed in a car accident on June 16, 2007. Ethan and my son, Jacob have been best friends since kindergarten. I was his "Mom". Every vacation, whether Florida or Germany or close to home, Ethan went too.
