My husband (who is also my best friend) and I were married on Halloween, 2000. Why Halloween? It's the day that we first met face-to-face, and it's also our favorite holiday (aka Samhain). Seemed the perfect fit. We moved to Portland, OR from So. Cal at the beginning of Summer '05 and it was the best decision we've ever made. We truly aren't made for that hot weather, and don't even get me started on the cost of living, the traffic, the people (no offense to the cool people...just can't handle those with the 'tudes), etc. Let's just say we love Portland. We have since become addicted to camping all over Oregon when we can, and the weather here is just amazing. Yes, we absolutely LOVE the rain. It can't rain enough in my opinion. I even love camping in the rain.

As for me personally: I am enjoying the non-corporate life. I don't miss working for someone else and I hope never to go back to it. I'm a self-motivated, work-from-home freelance graphic designer, and my husband is a Massage Therapist, so you KNOW I'm a happy woman! I am into the goth/industrial scene, but I'm not one of the gaunt, broody types. Yes, I love dark poetry and over self-analyzation, but I'm overall a happy person. And I'm not judgemental of others' lifestyle choices. If you're a cool person with an open personality, then I would probably get along with you. I seem to attract all types, but very few "normal" people (well, by society's standards, anyways). And I like it that way. I've always been exposed to cultural diversity, and I think it has allowed me to be a more well-rounded person. I'm kind of a freak, and I'm okay with it. I'm not a leader, nor a follower. I'm just me.

We had our first baby on May 20th, 2007 and it was quite a ride! Our little girl is the center of our universe now. It's true that having a child changes you. Just when you thought it wasn't possible to have any more love to give, along comes a baby and you are amazed at how much your heart swells. I would do anything to protect her. Yes...I would die for her.
