My final year of graduate school has just begun. I'm looking forward to my class with Rod Buxton called Experimental Video Theory and Production. I'll be working with a new Panasonic P2HD. New quarter at DU

Hello all, I have started a new round of classes. This quarter I am taking a web development and maintenance class. I will be working on and polishing Penumbra's site throughout the next nine weeks. Please be patient and I'll get the site up soon after I learn about CSS. I am also taking a video jockey class. Can you believe I'm learning VJing at DU? I'm totally exciting and will be making totally stellar video. I'll be loading up the hard drives with mondo clips to be mixed up this summer. I'm looking for gigs, so if you or someone you know wants the coolest video artist at an event, let me know. Stacey

Hi there Penumbra people! Alex Oliszewski here. I am happy to inform the world that Penumbra moves forward. One of the things that came out of our meetings is that LeAnn and I are going to be taking on the task of using this Tribe blog to let everyone interested know about what is going on in the shadow world of Penumbra's plans. So from here on out you should be able to come here and check in to see what is going on and, if you are so willing and daring, how you might be able to help out and get involved with some of the different dishes we have cooking. So what's going on in Penumbra land? Well....The March retreat was a stunning success. Stacey, LeAnn and have started laying down the foundation for three different projects slated for the upcoming year. We have decided to throw down and produce a new incarnation of the Sand Queen's for this year's Dreamtime festival in Paonia Colorado. The rolling ball has started to take form as a "multi-location choose your own scavenger hunt hybrid performance" that culminates in a main stage performance. Shadows, video, light, color, awesome costumes and fun for all are sure to show their faces once again. LeAnn and I are pushing against the grindstone to get the proposal off to Dreamtime and to figure out how we are going to fill the 14 performance slots we currently envision utilizing. Second, we are looking as far into the future as we can to prepare for Stacey's MFA final thesis performance in '08. This project is still in it's fledgling stages of visions and shadows. I will post more on this as the visions start to coalesce. Other then that I am happy to say that PenumbraTheatreCompany.com should be up and live very soon now! The second it goes live from Beta I will post here and let everyone know. In closing I would like to wish a very happy birthday to Milain and would suggest that any other Ninja's out there send her some love and super smiles as she prepairs for her next spin around that glowing orb in the sky.
