I was lucky enough to drum for bellydancers at the Hygienic Art show last night, a big unjuried art show held every year in downtown New London, CT. Check out the video link on my tribe.net profile page to the New London Day website- That's me playing a bass darbuka in the opening segment! Chris Phillips is playing a beautiful bowed instrument called a kushtar and my dancer friends Kaytee and KT (they are Chrysaora - Latin for a species of jellyfish) can be seen towards the end of this video with flowers in their hair. We is famous! :)
