Sandra....my Sandra!
Goddess, Mother, Sassy Siren and Queen of Comedy!!!! And did I mention she's a HOT CHICK who can cook like the Devil!!!

Seriously..... my Faire Mom.. I love you with all my heart.

Sandra and I met my first few minutes of my first day of reg. at Southern faire - we took a look at each other and something clicked. She took me under her wing and I was home. It was family at first sight.

I love your wisdom, your insanely fabulous rapier wit, earthly sexy momma charm and the comfort your words bring when I'm in need of a compass.

I got to watch this magnificent lady fall in love and marry a seriously great Man.

I lurve yew Sandra!!!! Much more than my luggage!!! xoxooxo, Liisa

Sandra the Magnificent Woman of the Desert, what can I say, you fabulous female, human, goddess, mother, wife, FRIEND. As you so wisely put it "We circled each other for quite awhile". I had no idea what I'd been missing! So, this is the faithful friend people talk about. One who calls just to check in. To see how my hubby is doing. To ask how am I doing. Well, to put it mildly, dahling, you've cast a rosy Armenian glow on me. A great broad, period. Love, Bounty

Ah, Sandra.... i've learned so many things from you! I know that it's socially unacceptable to leave the house in panties that don't match my bra. I know that if two chikas are dressed hot enough, they will be allowed to dance on any redneck bar. And mostly i know that no matter how migratory i am, you'll always be there for me. I'd step on an offending bastard's nuts for you any day!

I still can't believe that the guy who introduced us was afraid one of us would kill the other inside the first ten minutes. Silly wabbit.

So here's to cocktail walks, dropping the chicken on the floor and serving it anyhow, adventures in how to build a better bustline (yes, that would be my side, definitely not yours!), and getting church giggles at a funeral for a friend.

You're the best, evah!

about me
I am honest, but loyal. I LOVE my family and friends. There ain't anything I wouldn't do for them. I was born Armenian but got out before my feet were bound. I have been doing Ren Faires for longer than most people have been around but I don't sign my emails with "troll killer" or "she who pulls the wings off of fairies". I cook, I LOVE to cook, I LOVE PEOPLE WHO LOVE MY COOKING!!!!
I have a wicked sense of humor but am a little soft hearted under all the bravado. I just want to make people smile and bring a little fun into my disfuncion. Wanna know more about me? Watch Shirley Valentine, and Rosalind Russle's version of Auntie Mame! Oh, BTW THE GREAT RACE IS THE GREATEST MOVIE OF ALL TIME!!!

My Blog

Hi Everyone
Molly asked me to organize the pot luck for the memorial that is coming up. For those of you who do not know...we recently lost Jerry, a member of Cuthberts, and Naughty Minstrels, as well as are going to include David Ponkey, the Sea farin story teller.

I brought a list and left it at Cuthies 2 weeks ago but I know that everyone has been swamped. I am down with the plague and hope to be up and ready for opening, but because of Tim's being sick, my hacking and coughing I was... read more

First of all, I just can't even tell you all how much this whole thing has reminded me of how phenomenal you all are.

Secondly, if anyone out there even starts to say one thing about how this Faire is run or anything about Molly Drew, they are going to have to go through me.

Molly Drew has agreed to pay out of pocket whatever is needed to get this done right and Sean O Connor from constables is going to go with her to get what is needed supply wise.

This has me floored but not surpri... read more

Ok...
I have always been the first to say that doing Faire is not some inalienable right granted to us. It is a hobby, a chance to connect and play with dear friends and family of the heart, true, but not something we HAVE to do.

In other words, if there is a problem that keeps you from doing Faire, you just don't do that faire this year. And there it is.....

Well, kids, here is the embarrassing part.

When I went back to school to get Early Childhood Education units, I stopped w... read more

Sometimes I like to talk to peers and discover what places bring them joy to eat at. What destination always brings you a reassurance that the meal will be exactly what you expected or if not, even better.

Such a discussion happened at work the other day. As residents of a vacation destination spot, we often discover that the niceties of a town or city are lacking here because so much of what we are, is a place for tourists to go to a *beach*. It all started with a woeful lacking of pla... read more

First off, if you have Facebook, you have already seen this...but some of my friends and acquaintances do not have Facebook, and I need to spread the word.
Also, I know I have not been on Tribe in awhile. Sorry, life has a way of keeping me doing the dance of Shiva but only with two arms....busy veeeeerrrrrrrrrrrry busy.

I am in need, gentle friends. And that is why I post.

Yes....we are heading out for the grand family vacation. Yes....I pack like I am going to be on a world tour... read more
